Bears Add 2nd Commit to 2021 Class in Alajiki

The Bears added 6-7/225 St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ) SF Sam Alajiki‍ with his commitment this morning, joining Bishop O'Dowd guard Marsalis Roberson‍ as part of Cal’s 2021 recruiting class.

The athletic native of Ireland has an impressive 41-inch vertical to go along with his versatile game, where he can bring the ball up the court, hit from the perimeter or slash to the bucket and finish strong.

An excellent student with a 4.16 gpa, the off-the-radar Alajiki also fielded an offer from Columbia along with a handful of mid-major and small school programs, likely because of splitting time between Ireland and the states in his prep career along with a lack of showcase opportunities becasue of covid.

The Bears will likely look to add one big in the 2021 class.
