According to the San Diego Trib, he had this accident in March, where a car swerved in front of him and he hit the guardrail, and then as he was leaving his car, he was hit by one, or maybe two vehicles. He was arrested by the police for a DUI, and then released to the hospital for treatment of a collapsed lung and other injuries. According to one website, his ranking dropped at the end of summer from #16 to #28, maybe due to lack of up to date information on his condition and readiness to play again after the accident.helltopay1 said:
had a "serious car accident" . We'll have to follow his play this year.

Looks like we have our PF. Impressive offer sheet on 247: Miami, CU GT, Oklahoma and Texas among others. We're not even listed. How did we even get this kid? We knows more about him?

With the roster now full for this year and next, it looks like Fox is happy enough with the centers he has now, Thiemann and Thorpe, for the next two years to forego picking up another big man. I hope he's seen some good development from both of them, or we will be playing a little smaller much of the time. That is fine against some teams, but not as much against teams with established big men. I do like the looks of the depth we have at the wings. Point guard still a question mark, and that is crucial to team success.
Sounds like a plan. I always felt that Cuonzo did not really have a plan for Cal, recruiting for need and for depth at all 5 positions. and if he did, it was not readily apparent. I felt the same about Wyking, maybe more so. I like where the roster is heading now, and I also like that Fox's recruits include surprises, players whom no one or maybe a few knew he might be recruiting, from both players who are known and ranked, and players who are under the radar and unranked.calumnus said:SFCityBear said:

I think Fox wants to clearly hold a spot wide open for BOD center Jalen Lewis in 2022. 5 stars, #2 Center in the country, top player in California. He is the type of player that could catapult the program so Fox is smart to go all in on him. Helps if the center position is wide open.
Same is probably true of Mulhany at PG.
