Well what else can be done from a fanbase standpoint unless you're a mega donor other than blog, email, write to the AD, etc. Cal is a wonderful institution in a recruiting hotbed and the AD made a soft, boring, re-tread hire that deep down we ALL know is the case.

Cal bought themselves an express ticket to the back of the line when they hired Fox and the results are clearly evident. No shame in supporting the guy but your support means supporting mediocrity.

I don't understand how the coaches are not running plays for Betley who seemingly is our best shooter and can help us immensely by making threes, along with Bradley and Anticevich doing their thing. He was hounded all game (credit to Romar but it's an easy game plan against us) and had to force up a lot of shots, getting him out of rhythm and then rushing. Get the guy a lot of looks.

Seems like Grant was the one being hounded to start the season and after seeing the stats to date Roman switched the attention over to Batley - freeing up Grant to have a better game.

Grant was driving to the hoop at will against whoever was guarding him. He needs to keep that up.

It's just strange overall. Having mediocrity as your end goal is very strange, but very Cal I suppose.

I think it's called socialism, which is also very Cal, unfortunately. To make it work, however, you need a neverending supply of wealthy donors, like Stanford has.

The title of the thread was optimistic. The Waves took Cal for a ride and not the other way around.
