Stumbled on a write up of player reviews from the big Boo Williams tourney by Blue Star and the only other 2023 California prospect highlighted besides household name top 10 Breya Cunningham was the following new name:

"Nene Ndiaye 2023 6-0 Wing/Forward Cal Storm 17 National International product from Senegal…Super athletic and a great frame…Can play outside and in the paint alike…Nice feet and long reach to score it…Also shoots the three…Can euro step her way through help defenders…Does a little bit of everything"

I immediately thought of our former player '06-'11 Rama N'Diaye, and actually elsewhere this young prospect's name is listed as "Nene Awa Ndiaye," and Rama's old Cal bio lists a sister named Awa.

Alas, then I googled "Most common names in Senegal" and Ndiaye is #1 among surnames with Awa #3 among girls names, lol...

Anyway, regardless, she appears to be a top player for the Cal Storm's Team Taurasi normally headlined by Chloe Briggs. Our c/o 2023 recruiting is a bit of a mystery, so at the very least, an intriguing under-the-radar name to keep tabs on. She attends Orangewood Academy in SoCal.
