Welcome Anastasia!

I'm glad to see freshies coming in. Looks like we're developing a connection to Greece.

Gotta love 50% from 3. You can never have too many perimeter threats to space the court.

Or players with length.

The players added are 6-4, 6-1, 5-10 and now 5-11.

I hope that this young lady is a solid, pure point guard as her stats suggest. She can replace Leilani McIntosh after she graduates.

I completed a search for her but I could find little. She's age 19 and I could not find any video of her.

Lulu Laditan appears to be on another level than Anastasia Drosouni at this time.

Bears now have a dozen scholarship players enlisted for the coming season. I hope that Charmin Smith adds another transfer (hopefully from a P5 conference). All things being equal, Cal needs another frontline player. Even if McKayla Williams is listed as a SF, the Bears would have eight guards and four frontline (forwards/centers). MW has been listed as a shooting guard for Gonzaga.

Keep up the good work, Charmin! GO BEARS!

I looked as well. She apparently played on a club team in the second level Greek pro league, similar to Muca, but no stats available.

From the story: She most recently played for Aris Thessaloniki in the A2 Ethniki Greek women's basketball league, in which she averaged 11.9 points, 5.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game in 2022-23, while shooting 49% from the field and 50% from distance.

Always looking to see who the competition is. Again, it is not a first-tier major pro league, but would like to know more.

The video is helpful. Has some skills. What were her other offers?

Greece didn't make the FIBA Women's U20 tournament in 2022, but maybe they will this year to put her up against the best Euro competition.

Just as one point of comparison, Krimili played in the Greek A1 (higher level) League and also showed well in FIBA tournaments where the competition, height, and talent levels pick up considerably.

HoopDreams-thanks for finding this video! She's #13 on this team and appears fundamentally sound. It's hard to know how her play will translate to the United States but it's certainly more info than any of us had previously. The video (w/ the music) was well put together. GO BEARS!
