NCAA Tournament Expectations

"We want to be dancing in March," she said. "Everyone that we've gotten in the portal understands that goal and is buying into that."

"If I'm a kid, I want to go put my name on a program and help them go dancing next season. That's the goal. We want to be in the NCAA tournament next year."

Defensive Expectations

"We need to get better defensively. We have not been a great defensive team and that's been frustrating for me in particular because I love defense. "

Portal Transfer Expectations

"I think we got the help that we needed."

Recruiting Expectations

"I don't want our roster to be all transfers. It's challenging having too many for just one or two years."


She is setting out our coaching expectations very clearly for the upcoming season.

Cal either has a winning season (similar to the softball team) to merit selection for the post season or her future as HC is pre-determined. It's time for a change in performance or it'll be time for a new HC. The positive expectations that Mark Madsen has publicly announced as the new men's basketball head coach has forced her to do this(IMO). GO BEARS!

I am really not sure how it is going to go. Just renewed my season tickets through WVIT, so will hope for the best. But five years is definitely enough time to show what you can do.
