I think the schedule is now correct on the Cal web site. Could someone check to see if I am right.

Santa Clara (11/8) & UL Monroe (12/21) have been added but no teams are listed for R.A.I.S.I.N.G. THE B.A.R. (November 24-25) still. San Jose State has Cal on their website for those two days but the other two teams have never been named. When is Charmin going to finish her special showcase.

What happened to Texas A&M and Winthrop, the other two teams initially announced for the Raising the Bar event? Texas A&M still has the game listed on their website, as does Winthrop.

S 71. Are you going to the games? If not, then why would you care who is coming?

I watch every game and usually write-up the pregame analysis and prediction. Wvitbear, your badgering me about driving to Berkeley is getting old. This is a new season so why don't you try something new. I don't even attend Archbishop Mitty games anymore but I still watch virtually every one.

annarborbear-your facts indicate that those are the two other entrants. I found SJS & Santa Clara that way, too.
GO BEARS!

I thought, or at least hoped, we had agreed to stop nagging Schroeder71. There are all sorts of reasons to stay close to home, and his reasons are his business. (Would you all castigate me for commenting on WNBA games I hadn't attended in person? Or for discussing possible WNBA recruits?)

Even at this late date, our schedule may be in flux so you should NOT assume that the website schedule is correct.

And no, the problem goes beyond the fact that Cal has not yet entered San Jose State and Texas A&M as our opponents for 11/24 and 11/25.

I could go into a long explanation of what happened, but for now all you need to know is our schedule may still be a work in progress. At some point prior to the November 2nd exhibition, Cal will have to submit its final schedule to the NCAA so presumably by that date the online schedule will be complete and correct.

Developing a complete and accurate schedule used to be a basic AD competency. Doesn't seem to be a problem at other institutions.

Complete Schedule With Tip Times, TV Details Announced - California Golden Bears Athletics (calbears.com)

It now appears that they Bears will play 12 OOC and 18 Pac 12 Conference games this season. I guess that Cal will live-stream all (7) of the non-conference home games that only show live stats on the schedule. I don't know about the road contests at Auburn and FAMU. GO BEARS!

here's what i heard back, just a couple hours after questioning paper ticket delivery from calbears. look'n good..

> We had a slight delay with getting our season tickets out since we recently received the finalized schedule from the conference. We will begin to mail the tickets out next week for both men's and women's basketball and it'll be shipped via UPS 2-day shipping. You should also receive an email from UPS when a label is created on our end. If, for some reason, you don't receive them in time, still come to the first game on Nov 2 (WB) and Nov 6 (MB) and visit our ticket office outside of Haas and we'll make sure you get in to cheer on the Bears. Thank you again for all of your support and we're excited to see you back for basketball shortly! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Our schedule was fine until we pulled out of the West Palm Beach Classic. Then we proceeded to fill that scheduling gap and that's when the problems started.

In any case, our complete 30-game schedule has now been finally posted to the NCAA website. As long as the NCAA accepts our schedule as is then I consider the matter to be closed. Right now the only sign that anything was ever amiss is the fact that we have changed the B.A.R. event from an invitational with predetermined matchups to a traditional tournament format with championship and consolation matches on the second day (don't ask why). Hopefully everything will go according to form and we get the desired matchup with Texas A&M on 11/25.
