Jaylah Lampley of Lawrence Central HS (Indianapolis) is the 2023-24 Indiana MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 6-foot-1 junior guard led the Bears to a 30-1 record and Class 4A state title the school's first.
For the season, Lampley averaged a team-high 18.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.
Sidebar: I think the addition of Jenny Huth to the coaching staff in May as recruiting coordinator is starting to pay dividends in terms of Cal being included in the finalist lists of elite players.
