I watched the game off and on from my phone, but from what I could tell that is a very talented and well coached team, both offensively and defensively. The way they move the ball is masterful. They shredded an athletic top defense.

I'm happy for Paige. She came into college as a superstar, suffered through some injuries, and returned for her senior year instead of going pro (I'm sure her NIL package was bigger than a WNBA)

I didn't like Geno for years, but I've settled into respecting him as he's grown the women's game, is a great coach, and has even become a little more humble of late

Besides the talent the top teams can sign with NIL, having a stable roster that the coach can install and refine their schemes is another huge advantage

Props to Azzi Fudd and the freshman Sarah Strong too. Fudd's had to battle back from injuries and it took a bit to find her game again

Holly Rowe, who has turned one of tops of her trade, deftly moved Geno through an emotional interview that was rather heart-warming.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Pete Newell who beat Woodin the last 9 times in a row they met. with less talent.

IMHO Newell was terrific but didn't last long enough to qualify for GOAT.

I wouldn't be surprised if Geno retires in the next year or two. Perhaps after next season when Azzi Fudd completes her eligibility.

I love Pete Newell and he was actually one of Wooden's teachers, but Pete Newell never put up the numbers like Wooden or Coach K...Nothing at all against him--one of the best, but like Tara, not the very best. Auriemma has been dominant, both from the front or the rear so to speak.
