Hallelujah!! Spent last 11 years at Nike.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Jason back to the Cal Family in this critical role," O'Neill and Larson said. "Jason is a highly respected and accomplished leader in the marketing and branding space, and the combination of his creativity, entrepreneurship and visionary leadership are just the ingredients we need to help tell the story of Cal Athletics and continue to elevate our brand in this dynamic era of intercollegiate athletics."

His years at Nike should have taught him that. You would think.

I hope the football program doesn't take up all of his time. He needs to help both basketball teams, volleyball and softball.

He has to focus on football first. That's where the money comes from.
There won't be much of any sports if football doesn't stay relevant in the next few years.

Interested to see what the CMO does to (hopefully) heavily market the new, state-of-the-art softball facility the Cal program debuts during Fall Ball 2026. A long-overdue and huge win for Cal Athletics. Hope everyone gets out to enjoy it.

^ soon to be terminated jennifer simon-o'neil (who spends half her day following softball recruiting instead of selling tixs or fundraising which is her actual job) prioritized the softball stadium with the the football/basketball disinterested carol christ INSTEAD of the critically needed basketball practice facility which would've helped the lady hoopers in recruiting in becoming a perennial top 20 team in the nation

jenny put her softball fangirl interests ahead of the financial footing of the athletic department which needs basketball revenues to avoid an existential disappearing act kinda like the t-rexs with the financial tsunami heading towards berkeley

and then jenny hired a mentally unstable bullying head coach (o'neil learning NOTHING from the mckeever abuse in terms of protecting berkeley student athletes) which resulted in literally every key player transferring out & now the bears are at the bottom of the basement in the acc for at least the next 2-3 seasons

the irony of this all is that the softball stadium wuz built with the intent of hosting ncca tournament games which require nighttime lighting but with jenny hiring another bully like herself (she didn't learn **** from the mckeever scandal) the bears are years away from being a ncca post season participant in the future

there are 200+ fans at the softball games the monster has attended, the new cmo is not gonna change that primarily because there is not spectator interest in softball by any realistic metric

shocky is a bears softball fan but this new stadium is gonna be as empty as the men's and women's bb games are under the FAILED direction of jay & jenny (both earning just south of $500,000, wut a ******* waste of money)
