CalFanatic-you're such a jerk. If the player that I have been calling for all season had not carried the team on her back, they would have been blown out. Cal was down by 20 points and could not score consistently. It's called Monday morning quarterbacking, CF. Anybody can do it. Sad.

If i'm a jerk you're a clown, S71 =)

Palms of Triple OT!

And special palms to Taylor; I hope she makes it to the ACC's rookie honors.

She's going to be something special! Played with such poise down the stretch, hit all of her free throws. I can't wait to see her develop further.

cal fanatic=a worthless bureaucrat & the person most responsible for not growing the cal wbb fanbase on gamedays

we will NEVER forget the abused bear's women's swimmers (and their parents/families) & the evil ****tards who caused and enabled this darkest moment in the history of cal athletics#

The most responsible? Pretty incredible that I seemingly have all this power.

Truly an honor coming from the creepiest poster on this board.

Roll on, you Bears!

facts: the person with oversight over all of cal women's athletics is worthless bureaucrat jennifer simon-o'neil

cal wbb is near the bottom of the acc rankings in attendance despite a 2025 ncca team, that's 100% on you & don't think the greater cal community is not aware of your multiple FAILURES

I think this game will be a turning point for the Bears' season.
They learned a lot about themselves. And their capabilities.

Perseverance. Teamwork.

They really needed Puff and Claudia to help them.

Syracuse was 10-2 at home before tonight's game. Last Sunday, they went to Charlottesville and beat UVA, 79-60. Tonight, Virginia almost beat Duke in Durham (58-65).

Naya did have an apparent back injury in a game, but that was two months ago. Haven't heard any coach's comments about her being limited since that time. And she has certainly looked great in games over the past six weeks. Most of the comments on the board have been about how she isn't tall enough to play the five and should not play the four unless she has an outside shot. However, instead of trying to assign her a number, simply put her in a game and she scores and rebounds. Certainly more proof of that in this one.

25 points is pretty good for an injured player in limited minutes, glad the head coach is protecting her by sitting her azz on the bench for 20 minutes while lona plays 43 minutes with zero points

wvit, when do u think this team will win another acc game this season??

is this how an athletic director should operate in the modern era with the responsibilities for selling tixs for gamedays and building relationships with donors for nil & a dedicated basketball practice facility fundraising??

do u think chancellor lyons should throw out the jay & jenny trash when their employment contracts expire july 1, 2026??

S71 your act is so tiresome.

At half time you go on this rant, telling us that it's a blowout, always overreacting to every moment of every game. Going on and on and telling us what we're watching ourselves, like your analysis is some kind of rocket science. Then at the end you go on to complain about a player's performance in triple overtime, come on man - have you ever even played an organized basketball game in your life?

The reality is YOU are the Monday Morning Quarterback. At halftime you satsify your ego to tell the rest of us that this will be a blowout. Hey- if you know so much you should have told us before the game that it was going to be a blowout. So you give us this big speech at half time telling us there's a blowout coming, your prediction is COMPLETELY WRONG, and then when someone calls you on it you give this WEAK ASS excuse about a player carrying the team.

For the final time, we appreciate your pregame information about the other team. But your "predictions" and "analysis" doesn't impress anybody. Time to give it a rest, please.

It was her knee. that was the wrap she wore. and it wasn't two months ago. if you go to the game she was wearing it in Decembeer. She has mostly recovered now. But only several weeks ago she was wearing the wrap.

If you look at the number of our players wearing some kind of supports for legs and knees, a wrap is not necessarily a sign of a significant injury. I have seen no signs of anything in her gait, jumping and physical motions to indicate that she has had an injury that would result in her playing only 11 minutes per game. So it looks to me like a coach's decision. But maybe there has been some coach's discussion of this that I have missed along the way.

That's a lot of overtime effort. Coupled with a very long flight, I'm not surprised by the outcome all that much. Total respect to the team for the comeback effort. This is one of those outcomes which make you wonder just how much the travel factor comes in.

Schroeder 71 said: "Cal lost due a scoring drought for the final 3:50 and only scored 4 points in the 3rd overtime. Ojukwu played a single possession in the last two overtimes. Walker never scored again after she returned after the great comeback led by Naya. Charmin Smith didn't play her best inside scoring option for the majority of the overtime periods. Did Naya play in the 1st overtime? Walker really struggled after she returned. What was her injury or why was she kept out for so long?"

TomBear, your recap and conclusion is reasonable and accurate. Much better than S71 emotional nonsense.

RedlessWardrobe-I offered you an opportunity to take over this job after last season. Since my predictions and analysis doesn't impress anybody, then it is time for me to give it a rest. Since my emotional act is so tiresome, why should I waste my time (2-3 hours for each game) making a fool out of myself. ***I quit.*** Since you evidently speak for everyone, go screw yourself big mouth!

I'm not sure, I may have a big mouth. But if I declared to everyone at halftime of a game that there would be a blowout, and it ended up going 3 overtime's - and was called out for it, my big mouth would be classy enough to simply admit I was wrong.

As far as your pre game "job" if you read my statement earlier in this thread I praised you for it. My big mouth will remind you that your pre game previews and your in game "predictions " are two separate issues. If you can't differentiate them then there's nothing else my big mouth can do to show you how they differ. So sorry that admitting you were wrong about something is so difficult for you. You might want to work on it

Charmin has won 29% of her conference games. Justin Wilcox won 36% of his conference games. So, yes, it is a fair expectation that last year's upswing must continue.

For Sure, a disservice.....I have stopped reading this site due to the negativity. I just watched the You-Tube 16 minute video of last night's game. I wanted to see the Cal comeback and the 3 OT's. I was hoping there would be more positive comments. I enjoy this team..... GO BEARS!

In defense of myself, s71 predicted a blowout, cal fanatic called him out on it, and instead of simply saying "yes, I was wrong on that one" his response is what you see above.

For the record, I never called anyone a "jerk" nor did I say "screw you." Or use the term "big mouth." The fact is s71 continues to post in a childish manner and it's annoying.

Shocky, please don't be selective when reading my comments. My primary complaint with S71 is that it was too much for him to admit a mistake. His response to calfanatic was childish. You've read my posts, I'm here to talk basketball. But when someone continually lets their ego get in the way of a discussion it shouldn't be tolerated.

Yeah-there's definitely no egos anywhere on this message board. I have been reasonably accurate on the vast majority of games this season. I was correct until Cal rallied in the fourth quarter something like 25-7 to tie the game. My favorite player, Naya Ojukwu, was the offensive catalyst for the great comeback. You make comments that "nobody is interested in my predictions or my game analysis", and everyone knows that is not true. You and your ego feel that way, but you make collective assertions that attempt to demean my self-worth in writing these articles. I do this for free because I enjoy doing it, but when you try to take the fun out of it for me,what the hell is your payoff? You make a fool out of yourself by asserting I probably never played in a basketball game. I played three sports throughout high school and four years in intramurals at UCSB and one year of graduate school at SJS. I never missed a season. Sports was the love of my young life.

For the final time, check my posts, I have always commended you for your pre game analysis of the other team. For some reason you don't want to acknowledge that.

Secondly, with all due respect, some people might find the highlighted statement above a little bizarre. Wouldn't it be easier to simply say you were wrong on your blowout prediction in this game and leave it at that? Its okay to miss one once in a while, we all do.

Redless, I've liked a lot of your posts, but now I'm reluctantly muting you. (I muted Schroeder71 years ago, and Shocky around 2024.) It's a ridiculous waste of time to fight/engage with strangers on social media. I want to discuss Cal WBB, not why I'm right and someone else is wrong.
