Both Virginia and Virginia Tech are above us in the ACC. Later Clemson comes to town and they too are rated higher than us. Three wins will put us at 9 wins and we won't have a losing season in the ACC. 6 wins would mean we tied last year's record of 12 and 6. How many would have predicted that?

But as I mentioned last month, this team could possibly improve more compared to last year's team which was set. And they have improved. Especially their three point shooting. Taylor will improve us defensively.

We have already played the top 5 teams so our schedule is winnable. Who will be there to root the team this week. I will. Just need some ear plugs.

3 of the 4 remaining Quad 2 games are at home (Virginia, VT, and Clemson) and the road Quad 2 game is at Miami. Quad 3 road game at Florida State and SMU, the last home game, is Quad 4.
ACC Playoffs: 1-4 have double bye. 5-9 have single bye. 10-15 kick off the action. 16-18 go home. 1-4 is out of reach for Cal, but 5-7 are possible and good landing spots.

Getting Taylor back is critical for this team. Our frontcourt depth is so shaky. Sakima is solid, but Claudia is an adventure, and based on what I see I really believe that Naya continues to have nagging injuries.

Virginia has quite a bit of size, so we could especially use Taylor back for that one.

Regardless of who's taller, Sakima, Claudia, Taylor, and Naya are our only frontcourt players. As a unit, Claudia and Naya do not always give us a lot of minutes. I suspect that's partially due to health issues. It really leaves us thin up front, thus getting Taylor back ASAP is critical for the stretch run.

Seriously, I agree we need Taylor. Also both Naya and Claudia have played better in the past, hope they overcome whatever is ailing them.

Meanwhile Gisella has become a beast on the boards - with 8.5 rebounds per conference game she ranks 8th in the ACC.
