We are like 10th in attendance in the ACC. Louisville leads with over 7,000 a game and Notre Dame is second at 7,000 a game. Stanford , even in the good years never averaged that high. I think it would be reasonable to maybe get to 3,000 if we had several good years in a row.

I tried to find WBB attendance statistics on the CalBears page - but even though it says you can view "season statistics", I kep getting a 404 code when I clicked on 08,09, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

I didn't find comprehensive attendance stats, but I looked at the attendance listed in each box score.
Last time I checked it was around 1800 a game.
cal wbb is 11th in the acc in attendance with an abysmal 1772 average a game at a time when the creatively marketed wnba valkyries averaged 18,064 in the wildly supportive of women's basketball bay area

Cal WBB promotes the games on social media (Facebook, Instagram) plus at the games.
I don't understand why the attendance hasn't risen as this fun season has progressed.
72, it takes INNOVATION to sell tixs/build fanbases in today's 6 second attention economy, the current social media never reaches students & potential fans who have never attended a wbb game and just winning more games is not the solution
agreed this is a FUN team but nothing is gonna change until the evil as **** JENNIFER SIMON-O'NEIL is fired, she thinks her attending every game as a fan at the university's expense is her job, any fan who sees her at today's game should let jenny know that's she a total **** up

I'd love to talk about the basketball game we actually played. Maybe we should create a dedicated thread for a certain individual (no need to name names) so he can rant into it daily when he forgets to take his medication

Ha. If you look at the Olympic sports board, I "ignored" this user this morning (I assume that's the block feature) after yet another unhinged rant directed at me on the softball thread. I still seem to be seeing responses to their posts, thoughso if there's a way to fully fix that, please please please , for the love of god, let me know.
Anyways, looking at the standings after our game- a Virginia Tech win Sunday and a Stanford win over Virginia would put all of us at six conference losses, with us obviously holding the tiebreaker. That would be massive.

Could woulda shoulda but looking at the standings right now…that overtime loss to 10-4 Syracuse hurts more than ever.
It would mean a first round bye in the ACC tournament, probably playing the winner of 11 vs 14.
The Vanderbilt game also is a coulda woulda, and man if Lulu hadn't turned it over at the end of the Missouri game, that's another one. 
Still I feel like we are playing really well right now, and I'm happy about that, particularly if we can get Taylor back.

Our record last year was 12 and 6. but does anyone remember where we finished in the ACC?
While I agree, I look back to the beginning of the season where I didn't know the majority of this roster and how they would gel.
I had concerns about replacing the shooting lost from last season. And while there isn't the level of accuracy, this team makes up for it by playing better defense and being a team that is tough to play against.
It's been highly enjoyable. Getting to see Mjracle and Sakima grow into their large roles...to see the development of Gisella's game and seeing what Puff and Taylor can do? Plus Lulu's mettle at the end of games...
Yes, enjoyable. And they still have a chance at a special season.
