No offense to Marta at all, but that looks more like a salary dump move by the Valkyries.ESPN gives the Valkyries a C- and the Storm an A on this trade. A fairer trade would have been for Marta and one more future first round pick.

agreed, that pick 2028 is pretty useless. Always saw her as a bit of a tweener and wondered if she had athleticism for the W. Guess, we'll see it up close now.

Was pretty happy when Flau'jae dropped down to Valkyries pick

Makes more sense. Had nothing to do with the actual players selected. Hope that it will not put more pressure on Marta as her performance will now be compared to that of Johnson.
