So I looked at the stats:

Lola Donez played 578 minutes and took 10 two-point shots.

She is 5-11.

She took ten shots inside the arc in 36 games (and made six).

Lola Donez played 578 minutes and had 23 rebounds.

She is 5-11.

That is one rebound for every 25 minutes on the floor.

The first one, perhaps, you can blame on the coaching staff. But the second?

Oh, and she took 23 free throws in those 578 minutes as well. (Puff Morris took 39 in 40 more minutes -- which is 69% more.)

She looks like an above-average defender, not a great one, but she'd have to be the second coming of Eliza Pierre to be a player worth keeping with an offensive skill set like that.

On offense, can't tell if it is mental block or limited abilities. I remember when Leilani refused to shoot in her first two years so that we ended up playing four against five when she was in. Lola did score in high school - 27 ppg, and also rebounded well - 6.4 rpg.. So maybe a mid-major program with less pressure can help her to overcome this, at least to some extent. She seems like a good person and good teammate, so wish her well.

Is she officially in the portal?

Yeah, I think I brought it up before the season when I saw she averaged 27 her senior year. Wasn't she Hawaii POY also? It made me wonder about the competition level in Hawaii. I think the year before that when she played in SoCal she averaged 12 or 13.

GL to her if she decides to leave

Strange as it may seem given her reluctance to shoot, but her three point shooting percentage (32,8%) was actually higher than LuLu (32.5 %), Mjracle (32.1%), and Puff (31.9%). But her reluctance to take midrange shots when she had the chance was even more frustrating. And I don't remember ever seeing her go hard to the basket. She will need a secure starting role some place else, and further patient coaching to encourage her that that's her job.

Lola hustled on defense and got some steals towards the top of the key. However, opponents drove to the basket on her for layups on a regular basis. She was not a shutdown defender by any means. At the end of the year, Charmin Smith began using Grace McCallop as a defensive substitution on the other team's top offensive player.
As someone else stated, Cal needs to find recruits that have well-rounded games and are not one-dimensional.

I called her Lola donuts because she would have lots of games where she had only one point or one rebound often she had zero. Still she was a tenacious defender and that's why she was out there most of the time hope she stays.

Surprised to see Lola transfer

She improved her shooting form and results after working with a trainer in the off season

Looked like she only had a green light when wide open which I thought was the right coaching call. Didn't seem like she had other offense.

She is a good defender with size but couldn't keep players in front of her. She was used a little at PG when we were in a pinch but wasn't a good ball handler

Bottom line is she is a good role player and teams need good role players

But perhaps she wasn't happy with that role so looking elsewhere for a bigger one

Sad to see her go as she has potential to improve further

Does anyone know if it was Lola's decision or the coaches' decision that she take so few shots?

We've had other defensive specialists, like Jayda Noble and Karisma Ortiz, but they were stronger and rebounded better.
