Not to spam the thread, but here's a great read from ESPN on Coach Nakase too:

...Nakase's devotion to basketball makes it easy for her team to follow her.
"It starts with her work ethic and her passion," Valkyries assistant coach Kasib Powell said. "The way the team plays embodies how she is, what she brings to the table. We go off of her. She sets the tone for us on exactly our expectations, how she wants things; it's easy to follow after that."

Happy to see a Golden Bear in the broadcast booth to call this game. Kate Scott, back in the Bay for the game tonight: https://www.sfgate.com/valkyries/article/kate-scott-cal-wnba-finals-22479162.php

When Kate Scott was a student at UC Berkeley in the early 2000s, she was looking for any way to break into a sports broadcasting career. On Monday, two decades after she started her trailblazing career in the Bay Area, she's back in San Francisco to call a WNBA Finals game between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream. In her first year as USA Sports' top play-by-play broadcaster, her first-ever WNBA Finals game is back in the city that launched her career.

So good to see her, she has become really good! Go Kate. She is also the play-by-play for Philly 76ers.

I can't help but say her name in my head very enthusiastically in the vein of Doc Brown from Back to the Future in his loud gravely voice: GREAT SCOTT!!! Only I replace great with Kate of course.
