Are people aware that last year Cal finished third in the Pac 12 in three point shooting. The year before we were 8th. So we have been improving. And I think we will improve as the season progresses. We lost Cowling but we replaced her with Forbes who is shooting very well. So what has happened? Namely Brown and Smith are not shooting as well as last year. Smith started off the year poorly. But she has been improving. Brown hasn't regained her shot but it looks to me that it is coming around. First shot she missed the last game was in and out.
Recee also started out abymisally but has improved. Earlier in the season we were shooting around 20 %. Now it is over 30 %.
We have also been improving on turnovers. Early in the season we were turning the ball over about 20 times a game. Now it is around 14 per game.
I always look optimistically at how we can improve. And I think we can improve. I see Brown, and Forbes improving. And I hope Anigwe can get her free throw touch down. She went 11 for 11 the first game and then went into a slump that she sort of corrected against UCLA. One of the things I watch when she shoots free throws is her ball rotation and it has looked good the last two games. What do the rest of you think?
