KA 3 and 3, with the rest of the Bears playing hard and contributing.

Stanford's offense flow so well but cal staying with them

Too bad cal is also cold. Defensive battle so far

Both teams had very solid stretches, and also a cold-shooting sloppy stretch.

With better shot selection, Bears would be up. KA took about 4 outside shots that were not great ideas. She is getting muscled inside, and pushed outside. A lot of that is good defense, but KA not getting any calls on some of the pushes and nudges. Opposite not true. Every year it seems Stanfurd is the refs favorite in all sports.

This lifelong Bear fan agrees.

Hopefully that's not the case in the NCAA tournament. We're showing we can play with the best of teams, now that the rest of the lineup knows they have to produce.

We had 12 more shots (37 to 25), but only hit 30%. Need to get that up to at least 40% in the second half. Need AT to heat up and KA not to force it.

Little over a minute left in 3rd and KA gets bumped receiving pass and then also on the shot. No call. Other end, she gets called in the fight for position on D. That is some serious BS.

That was depressing. I, too, confess myself disappointed in Asha. And shocked by the calls, or lack thereof. (But the whole end-of-season league tournament system has always struck me as kind of sadistic.)

I am sure she is plenty motivated and driven to do better without my stupid post, but as amazing as KA's season has been, AT's has been almost as disappointing. This is not how I imagined her senior season going down. She is a leader and a great teammate and person, but we need so much more from her on the court, and she is capable of it.
