If I lived closer, I'd go to a lot more Cal sports. Right now, I only go to one or two T&F meets a year, but the talent and athletism in T&F is astounding

the track and field team is getting better and better every year. I'm looking forward to going to Edwards Stadium this spring to see our world class weight event athletes and all the others.

Head Coach Robyne Johnson has really been recruiting well and raised the bar. She and the team deserve our support!

Mykolas will be exciting to watch in the spring meets however I was told that Camryn Rogers has used up her outdoor eligibility. She will only be competing thru the indoor meets. Some one to keep an eye out is Toby Lai from Hong Kong who last week jumped 6' 3/4" setting a new indoor record for Cal. I believe her previous best was 5' 10" outdoors. Yesterday she won with a jump of 5'-10.75. Lots to look forward to Edwards including the big meet on Apr 29th.

I hadn't heard that about Rogers

I have a feeling we will see her again

This from an article on the Calbears's website

"Rogers a 23-year-old senior who has only an indoor season of eligibility remaining, has made the Watch List 11 times, good for the lead among all active collegiate women. She is Cal's first-ever finalist and semifinalist, the latter of which she has achieved twice."

Loved the competition between her, Brooke Andersen, and Janee Kassanavoid at World's last year in Eugene.

Brooke Andersen's SCREAM is spine-tingling!

Some encouraging results were delivered in the endurance races: a 3:58.87 Mile from Garrett MacQuiddy and a 4:42.52 Mile courtesy of Claire Yerby both represent excellent middle-distance performances.

There is a big T&F reunion brewing for the Brutus Hamilton meet on April 8th, and T&F alumni are encouraged to attend; all fans and friends of the program might wish to swing by the meet because it should be pretty packed and the staff would be very happy to see faces in the stands.
