1st Team All State selection Mia Phillips is having a heck of a start to her senior season. Looks like Coach Spencer landed another great one.

"Mia Phillips is our shortstop," Barragan said. "She is our best defender out there. At catcher, Dom Oliveira really came into her own. She has one of the best arms in CCS. Nobody steals on her. Taylor F is at first. She is a power hitter and was state freshman of the year last year. Maddie Bermudez is our leadoff batter. She sets the tone for all of us. Emma Gutierrez is our clean up batter. We set the table for her. She is a great defensive player."

Several of the Balers are set to graduate and play in college next year. Phillips is going to Cal, Oliveira to St. Mary's, Bermudez to Cal Poly and Gutierrez to Loyola Marymount.

Would be amazing if we could land her teammate Taylor F. She'll have an offer from most teams in the Pac-12. Or should I say...former Pac-12 =(

Some crazy stats for Cal signee Phillips. She's struck out just once (against a tough schedule) and committed only 2 errors at SS. I imagine she'll compete immediately for an infield starting spot with Anzaldo graduating.

In 2025 news, Everett has 9 homeruns and 26 stolen bases in 17 games for San Rafael. They should be a contender for an NCS title.

Sophie Everett has power with 9 HRs this year and last year. She's only a junior (class of 2025), too. She's hitting .550 but has an OB% of .609. She plays three varsity sports in high school. Mia Phillip's numbers are incredible but she needs to take a walk periodically. GO BEARS!

2024 signee Phillips/Hollister is gearing up to defend their State title after an impressive 21-2 finish. The signee's performance was nothing short of exceptional. It's hard to decide what's more impressive: batting over .600, striking out just once, or making only 2 errors while playing shortstop.

I don't recall 2025 recruit Nina Peyton-Johnson? Sierra Canyon is a powerhouse in sports in SoCal. She appears to play third base. Do we have a summary article of the 2025 class or a list of their names would be sufficient.
I can look them up on Max Preps.

It appears that RHP Miranda De Nava, CF Kayli Counts & IF Mia Phillips have a chance to contribute to the team next season. I have not looked up the stats on Infielder Mo Temple from Central Catholic, Modesto and RHP Kiki Mashhoud, yet. Thanks, CF!
