It sounds as if he might bat at the top of the batting order. He's only 25 years old so this should be interesting
to see how he adapts to MLB and the United States. Great initial move-now the Giants need to sign a top of the rotation starting pitcher to pair with Logan Webb.

Way too much money, doesn't move the needle at all.

We get it Charles Johnson, you couldn't land Ohtani so you went after another Asian guy to distract. Didn't work

This young player is in no way proven as a major league ball player. The SFG need RHP Yamamoto but he met with Ohtani and the Dodgers. I got a feel that he ends up a Dodger, too. I don't like the way that GM Farhad Saidi goes about spending the franchise's $700 million that they had earmarked for Ohtani. Several free agents should have been signed by now (IMO).

Hardly, he was clearly one of the top free agents. He's only 25 and rarely walk/strikeout ratio is 2/1. a .340 career bating average along with his fielding prowess make him a great fit. The Giants are still after Cody Bellinger, Matt Chapman, Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. I don't care for Charles Johnson, but let's see how things pan out.
