Bears Thrash Stanford For Second Straight Week - California Golden Bears Athletics (calbears.com)

It's the first time that Stanford has scored less than 5 goals since 2018. Cal's defense is really playing well right now so maybe the Bears can upset the Bruins in the MPSF final tomorrow.

"We wanted to get after it right away," Cal head coach Coralie Simmons said. "A good start always allows us to get our momentum, sustain it and find a streamline for the rest of the game, and we were able to accomplish that."

That furious early pace strategy was employed by the men's team to achieve their 3-peat national championship over then #1 USC in the NCAA championship semifinal, and over then #1 UCLA in the final (Cal men's WWP had gone 0-3 vs the Bruins in the regular season). In both those contests, Bears men jumped to first period 4-2 leads and held on for the wins.
