After getting swept by Notre Dame, CAL sits in last place.
The Bears have now lost 13 straight ACC games.
But, they're only 1 game behind Furd....so there's that.

Interesting that nobody on this board even noticed last night's dramatic two 2-run homer last of the ninth comeback win over BC.

How does Mike Neu have a lifetime contract? If I were the coach, we would be in the CWS practically every year.

Problem is, I have other projects I'm working on. But if we get a new AD, I will be happy to help find the right Baseball coach to lead our team (pro bono, of course) ....

He has a lifetime contract?
The article was last updated before this weekend's final regular season series, in which the Bears won two out of three from Boston College, both wins coming in walkoff fashion.

I should have written "How does Mike Neu seemingly have a lifetime contract?" He "seems" to have guaranteed employment regardless of his mediocre (i.e., "terrible") results.

I don't want to misinterpret your post. Are you suggesting we should continue with Mike Neu as our coach next year?

No opinion. Never been a big fire the coach guy, but I am not close enough to the situation as far as recruiting, strategy, financial constraints, locker room morale, etc., etc. to have any opinion. Just reporting that they finally did win a series, although it was against an opponent that seemed to kick the ball around a lot. Maybe a new coach would improve the situation. Maybe big success in football so more money could be diverted to baseball without harming the revenue sports. I will say that the near unanimous opinion on this board of let's just kill baseball really rubs me the wrong way. Born and bred baseball fan. Never forget seeing Mike Epstein, Andy Messersmith and all when I first got here. Semien, Vaughn, X, Dusty Baker sitting along the right field line watching his kid play. You don't just toss history like that in the garbage can without a second thought. What to do about it? Wish I knew.

This guy is full of it. He comes off like he is the baseball god of Cal. He claims to be this great coach, yet, no credentials. You are probably related to Milano or you are freaking crazy Zuber. All the recent big leaguers that are from Cal came under Esquer. Esquer was the one who recruited Darren Baker as well. Before the 2011 disaster this program was on the rise. Then had to be built again due the threat of burning the program.

The threat of elimination will never attract a quality HC. So Oso Stupido, come in and show us what you can do you moso tramposo!!!!

And how is Esquer doing at Stanford?

27-25. 11-19 in conference, and got swept in the season series by Cal. LOL. Classic Esquer season. It took him a couple years, but he really has Stanford humming.
