Cal's explosive offense only outscored its opposition by 1.2 runs per game. The offense started the season strongly but collectively slowed way down towards the end. Mia Phillips led the team in extra base hits at mid-season but never got another one over the final half. Tianna Bell is the only Bear that increased her power numbers compared with last year (home runs and RBIs).

Cal's pitching yielded 4.32 runs per game and gave up 60 home runs. Miranda De Nava coughed up 22 long balls in 103 1/3 IP. Anna Reimers almost matched her percentage, yielding 17 homers in 75 2/3 IP. The bottom three pitchers [Reimers, Orange & McDade] compiled an uninspiring equal number of free passes (walks + HBPs) to strike outs. I would guess that these are the worst pitching stats that Cal has registered in many years.

Portal watch: Taylor Pannell. Though only 5-9 W-L had a 3.33 Era pitching in SEC. However Taylor had 15 saves last year, an NCAA record, with 1.27 era. Mizzou missed the regionals for the first time in 15 years. It appears to be some turmoil on a team with the batting coach leaving. Of course just being the only SEC team to miss the regionals this year the head coaches on the hot seat.

Yes OKL beat us but they were just more superior team. Just upset at all of these NIL movements, though as a softball player I can see them maximizing their $$$$!

Hard to really tell but OK players looked substantially taller/bigger than our players
