With the Thursday win over Miami, Cal has moved into third place in the ACC behind Notre Dame (7-0 in conference) and Stanford (6-0-1 in conference).

Florida State is ranked #7 in the country. Stanford is #2.

After our tie against then #1 Virginia, we received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Women's Top 25 Poll. Perhaps we'll garner some more votes when it comes out tomorrow.

And too many ties instead of wins, and Cal will not be in the ACC postseason tournament which is limited to six teams. Cal finishes in 8th, four points out of 6th. Bad loss today to Stanford sealed the Bears' fate. Although, even a win would not have gotten them up to 6th.
I don't know if the Bears have done enough to make the NCAA field - because I have no idea how that field is selected!

I missed the NCAA tournament announcement because...well, NCAA left Cal out while taking Wake Forest and Clemson who finished lower in the ACC standings.

I don't understand how the Cal women (8-3-8) were not selected for the NCAA postseason. The Bears only lost three of 19 matches. Their weakness was offense but their defense was stellar. Nine ACC teams were chosen over the Bears.

selection committees are comprised of human beings, cal's women soccer coach has been accused by his players of bullying & is considered a piece of **** by a lotta his peers but that's ok with the evil as **** jennifer simon-o'neil who is gonna continue to NOT protect the physical/mental welfare of our high gpa true student athletes until chancellor lyons stops this unacceptable FAILED leadership in the athletic department!!
