It was only 3 weeks ago I took pictures but had a Sat pickup today at the UC Optometry office. Perfect on a Sat because with no contruction ..can park car in strawberry swimming lot. Only obvious change can make out is the concrete wall around the outfield. Shoud cover but even with padding seems dangerous. Enjoy!

Pet peeve: baseball/softball seats look much better in green to match the grass. The royal blue seats don't do it for me.

This will be my last pictures to be posted which I took this morning. School will start in a couple of weeks 8/17 with lots more traffic earlier with people moving in which could prevent me from stopping for pictures. Still a ways to go.

I lied. Thought I wouldn't not take picture but decided to take the scenic drive home and decided to check out the new softball field again. They had most of the fence covered up & strawberry swim lot no longer accessible. Stopped across the road and climbed the hill to take some shots. It's like watching grass grow . Signs around the campus ' move in week'.

Last year they announced the 2025-2026 fall schedule not until Sept 17th. Most likely they are working on it but not having a field yet can makes it more difficult than if you had your own field as an option (imo).

Cal only has five freshmen. Ten new members of the team are pictured. According to the roster, the Bears have a dozen newbies enrolling in classes, so I am clueless.

Hmmm, were you talking about my post? Sorry, yes, posted empty space. I believe it was about the color of the seats? I was just saying that it appears they were going with the school colors...I guess obviously. Gonna be fantastic! Hope the schedule for opening doesn't slip!

Looks like the Bears won 11-4 (played a 10 inning game) Found it on GameChanger under Cal Bears SB1. There's a video link also but I haven't paid for GameChanger yet

Rey Hr'd
Everett tripled
Pichardo 2 Sac Flys (i think)
Transfer pitchers Koontz and Berlingeri 5 shutout innings

Would be amazing if we became a 21st century program and posted updates (like below!) but nonetheless, happy to hear. It's the small things that turn a program from good to great…

KC can you post the link? I plan on going the 30th and 31st and can take videos and recap for folks here (since it looks like we won't on twitter).

Extremely bullish on this season, this staff, all of it. Let's bring it back to our glory days! Go Bears!

Sorry I don't have a web link. If you download GameChanger onto your iOS/droid phone or tablet. Just search for Cal Bears SB1. Looks like the new pitcher's (Berlingeri) family are the ones score
keeping.

Without a paid account, you can't see boxscore or video. Might not even be able to see livestream with paid account depending on what restrictions they put on it.

I was able to post some of those game notes above by clicking t.hrough the gamestream every 1/2 inning

If you need further help w .GC lmk through DM. I've used it a lot for youth/HS baseball.
