I've been warning the Cal pitchers that they need to change speeds more with a change-up. Actually- the warning was primarily for Kamalani Dung because she uses the rise ball as her strikeout pitch. I never was able to see any of the game today, but I would almost bet money, that the 3 run HR hit by the second batter that she faced was a rise ball. She has a change-up but has difficulty throwing it for strikes. Basically she uses it a couple of times per game.

I was surprised how Zoe Conley, a drop ball pitcher, who usually generates mostly ground balls got crushed today. Did the ump refuse to call the knee high strike and force her to bring her pitches up?

Cal has given up 5 runs three times and 6 runs once this season in 26 games entering today. The Beavers basically doubled the output of #6 ranked Texas A&M and the others. Wow! Seven of the Bear's nine hits were
generated by JJ (4) and Bradie Fillmore (3). Nobody else showed up in Corvallis to play ball...GO BEARS!

Can someone provide me step-by-step navigation so that I can watch todays (Saturday noon) game? When I click on the 'watch' tab it takes me to the Pac 12 website. Here I need the step-by-step directions if someone is willing to be so kind...Otherwise-I miss the weekend series in Corvallis. I have Comcast and live in the SF Bay Area (San Jose). I don't know whether to choose Pac 12 Networks or another choice. I also don't know whether I need to choose Comcast first. Thank you in advance. GO BEARS!

Today's game was on Comcast Ch 433 and so is tomorrows. I found this out right before Fillmore's three run HR
right over the foul pole. Was last night's game on cable tv, too?

I might go with KD again tomorrow or start Zoe Conley but be ready with a quick hook if she yields runs every inning like on Friday. Oregon State has three good arms that throw hard. Why can't we find these pitchers? One is from the northern part of the state and another is from the central valley (Tulare). GO BEARS!

Cal actually has two pretty darn good NorCal pitcher's committed for 2019 and 2021. However, I worry about the 2020 season, with only a Sophomore and Freshman pitcher on the staff. Maybe Cal will look for another transfer or Fillmore will get to pitch? Long, long ways away. Go Bears!

We realized yesterday that even though our Comcast package has Pac 12, Pac 12 bay area was extra so we upgraded for the season for 10 per month. Actually watched a little swimming and Rugby too.

I get the pac-12 channel on dish network channel 406. Rarely, if ever is any relavant cal game on. Where is the cal game vs #1 Oregon st. Shown? Alls I'm getting is football and hoop replays.

Pitiful 8-3 loss for Cal on Sunday to lose the series to Oregon State. A couple of comments, it's become evident that Kamalani Dung is not cut out to be a relief pitcher. Today-she came in to face five batters and retire none of them. She walked four and yielded a single that broke the game completely open in favor of the Beavers. The score was 3-3 when she entered the contest but she allowed four earned runs...One was legit on a single to left
field but she walked in three other runs before being replaced. Zoe Conley, the other hand, has shown the ability
to close out games for Cal. The Bear pitching staff had not given up more than five earned runs in a game this season but yielded 9 and 8 earned runs in the two bad losses to the Beavers. Cal captured the other affair, 12-0.

The Bears also had tons of base runners but left the bases loaded three times (12 LOB). The lack of clutch hitting is hurting the chances of this team badly. Cal had three Pac Nine series that they "on paper" had an opportunity to win: @ Oregon State, @ Stanford & Utah. Wins could be hard to come by in conference the rest of the way.

The team needs to stop leaving so many runners on and put teams away when they have the ROB to do so.

Overall, few minor tweaks and these losses won't matter with the big wins that could be in store for them if it all comes together.
