The CDC also swears by water fluoridation, claims that it's "safe and effective".

Quote:

A Safe Intervention
Expert panels consisting of scientists from the United States and other countries, with expertise in various health and scientific disciplines, have considered the available evidence in peer-reviewed literature and have not found convincing scientific evidence linking community water fluoridation with any potential adverse health effect or systemic disorder such as an increased risk for cancer, Down syndrome, heart disease, osteoporosis and bone fracture, immune disorders, low intelligence, renal disorders, Alzheimer disease, or allergic reactions.10 12

Chinese research has shown that children exposed to fluoridated water have brain damage and lower IQs, so as a result China actively removes fluoride from their drinking water.

Vaccine skepticism within the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement is driven primarily by deep distrust in federal institutions, a political emphasis on individual liberty and "medical freedom," and the alignment of conservative populism with high-profile anti-vaccine figures.

While Donald Trump initially championed the development of COVID-19 vaccines through Operation Warp Speed, a massive partisan shift occurred during the pandemic, transforming vaccine skepticism into a core marker of political identity for many conservatives.

Several primary factors explain why this sentiment became widespread among MAGA supporters:

Distrust of Federal Agencies and "Big Pharma"

A foundational pillar of the MAGA movement is populist skepticism toward establishment institutions, often labeled the "deep state" or the elite. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this distrust intensified and focused heavily on public health institutions:

The CDC and FDA:
Frequent changes to pandemic guidelines regarding masking, lockdowns, and vaccine mandates severely damaged institutional credibility among conservatives.

Corporate Skepticism:
Many MAGA supporters express deep suspicion toward major pharmaceutical companies, believing that federal approval processes are compromised by profit incentives and a lack of long-term safety data.

The Rebranding as "Medical Freedom"
The anti-vaccine argument within conservative circles successfully shifted from technical scientific debates to constitutional and philosophical arguments:

Opposition to Mandates: Government, corporate, and school vaccine mandates were viewed by the political right as an overreach of state power and an infringement on bodily autonomy.

Personal Responsibility:
The issue was reframed around "medical freedom" and parental rights, arguing that individuals, not government experts, should dictate health decisions for themselves and their children.

Merging with the "MAHA" Movement
The alignment between Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. significantly institutionalized vaccine skepticism within the broader MAGA coalition. Kennedy's Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement brought decades of anti-vaccine advocacy into mainstream Republican politics. While MAHA officially focuses on chronic disease and nutrition, its platform actively promotes skepticism regarding the safety and necessity of standard childhood immunizations.

Media Echo Chambers and Misinformation
The modern right-leaning media ecosystem heavily reinforces skepticism toward vaccines:

Alternative Explanations: Conservative media platforms and social media influencers frequently amplify alternative health treatments while questioning the efficacy and safety of mRNA technology.

Spillover Effects:
Data from the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) Vaccine Monitor illustrates that what began as skepticism specific to the COVID-19 vaccine has spilled over into increased doubt regarding routine childhood shots, like the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine.

Slop for your slop.

It contains overstatements, selective framing, and implications that qualify as misinformation or misleading presentation in several areas. I will break them down factually, with evidence.
1. Overstatement of "core marker of political identity" and the nature of the partisan shift
The text states there was "a massive partisan shift occurred during the pandemic, transforming vaccine skepticism into a core marker of political identity for many conservatives."
Supported elements: There was significant polarization on COVID-19 vaccines. Meta-analyses of polls across outbreaks show COVID-era partisan gaps on vaccine hesitancy were ~12 times larger than historical averages for other diseases. Republicans shifted toward greater hesitancy over time (especially post-2021 mandates), while Democrats remained more stable/positive. Early Operation Warp Speed (OWS) under Trump had broad initial support, including among many Republicans; later attitudes diverged sharply with mandates, messaging, and evolving data.
Misleading elements: Labeling it a "core marker of political identity for many conservatives" overgeneralizes. Support for OWS and vaccines (as a tool) remains common in MAGA circles; Trump has repeatedly highlighted it as an achievement. The stronger, more unifying position across much of the right has been opposition to mandates/coercion ("medical freedom," bodily autonomy, parental rights) rather than blanket rejection of vaccines. Internal tensions exist between traditional pro-OWS conservatives and MAHA-aligned factions. Polls show higher skepticism among Republicans/MAGA supporters, especially on COVID shots for children, but it is not uniformly a defining identity trait.
2. Spillover to routine childhood vaccines (e.g., MMR) via KFF data
The text claims: "Data from the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) Vaccine Monitor illustrates that what began as skepticism specific to the COVID-19 vaccine has spilled over into increased doubt regarding routine childhood shots, like the MMR…"
Supported elements: There is evidence of spillover effects. KFF and other polling show partisan divides, with Republican/MAGA parents expressing more skepticism overall. Routine childhood vaccination rates and school exemptions have shifted post-COVID (some declines in coverage, increased philosophical/religious exemptions). Some analyses and commentary link COVID-era distrust to broader questioning of mandates and, to a lesser degree, routine shots. RFK Jr.-aligned views have amplified this in policy discussions.
Misleading or overstated elements: KFF data (including KFF-WaPo parent surveys) actually shows high overall confidence in core vaccines like MMR and polio (~84% of parents confident in safety/importance). The sharpest divides remain on COVID-19 vaccines for children (e.g., ~22% of Republican parents confident vs. ~70% of Democratic parents). Spillover exists in subsets (e.g., ~25% of Republican parents in some KFF-linked polling agreeing that MMR risks outweigh benefits; rising exemptions), but it is not uniform or primarily centered on established vaccines like MMR. Much of the observed decline in routine coverage also stems from pandemic disruptions to well-child visits and healthcare access, not solely "spillover skepticism." The text presents KFF data as clearly illustrating broad spillover into doubt about MMR-style shots; the data supports directional trends and increased questioning in certain groups but shows more nuance and resilience in core vaccine confidence than implied.
3. Characterization of the MAHA movement and institutionalization of skepticism
"The alignment between Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. significantly institutionalized vaccine skepticism within the broader MAGA coalition. … While MAHA officially focuses on chronic disease and nutrition, its platform actively promotes skepticism regarding the safety and necessity of standard childhood immunizations."
Supported elements: The Trump-RFK Jr. alliance (2024 endorsement and subsequent roles) brought RFK Jr.'s long-standing vaccine-critical views (Children's Health Defense background, questions on schedule, autism links, etc.) into closer alignment with Republican politics and policy. As of 2026 developments, RFK Jr. as HHS Secretary has influenced changes: reducing universal recommendations for certain vaccines (e.g., COVID removed or risk-based for healthy children/pregnant women in some updates; adjustments to hepatitis B, rotavirus, etc.), emphasizing "informed consent," "shared clinical decision-making," religious exemptions, and thimerosal removal. MAHA actions include linking chronic disease discussions to vaccine policy. RFK has promoted specific claims (e.g., MMR-autism links, vitamin A for measles) rejected by mainstream scientific consensus.
Misleading elements: MAHA's stated/official emphasis is broaderchronic disease root causes, nutrition, ultra-processed foods, environmental factors, and food system reform (e.g., petroleum-based dyes). Vaccine elements are framed around transparency, reducing "unnecessary" shots, parental rights, and investigating potential links to chronic illness rather than categorical opposition to "standard" immunizations (core ones like MMR, DTaP, polio, Hib remain recommended in revised schedules). RFK has publicly stated support for childhood immunization in confirmation contexts and denies being "anti-vaccine." The text's phrasing ("actively promotes skepticism regarding the safety and necessity of standard childhood immunizations") captures RFK's personal history and some policy shifts accurately but overgeneralizes the official MAHA platform and understates the "informed consent"/targeted reform framing versus blanket skepticism.
4. Framing of drivers and "misinformation" in media
The text attributes skepticism "primarily" to distrust in federal institutions/Big Pharma, "medical freedom" reframing, and alignment with figures, while describing right-leaning media as "echo chambers and misinformation" that amplify alternatives and question mRNA technology, leading to spillover.
Supported elements: Distrust in CDC/FDA is well-documented (trust collapsed among Republicans per KFF and other polls), driven by evolving guidance on masks, lockdowns, transmission prevention claims (initial statements that vaccinated people "do not carry the virus" were revised), mandates, and school policies. Pharma incentives, revolving door, and regulatory issues (user fees, past scandals) are longstanding concerns. "Medical freedom"/parental rights became a dominant rhetorical frame on the right. Some conservative outlets and influencers did promote alternative treatments and question aspects of mRNA tech/safety/efficacy.
Misleading elements:
The "primarily" political/cultural drivers framing downplays or omits legitimate scientific and policy issues that contributed to skepticism: revised official claims on transmission and duration of protection; acknowledged risks (e.g., myocarditis in young males for mRNA vaccines, with risk-benefit debates especially for low-risk/healthy children); natural immunity evidence that was often minimized; and real questions about cumulative childhood schedule effects or specific adjuvants (even if mainstream consensus holds strong net benefit/safety for recommended vaccines).
Labeling right-leaning media primarily as sources of "misinformation" and "echo chambers" is selective partisan framing. Misinformation and overstatements existed across the spectrum (e.g., early lab-leak dismissal, certain treatment hype/criticism, shifting goalposts on "stop the spread"). Conservative media highlighted real institutional errors and data that public health messaging sometimes resisted. The text's structure implies skepticism stems mainly from these sources rather than a mix of distrust, observed policy failures, and contested science.
Big Pharma skepticism is presented as largely conspiratorial; while profit motives exist and have documented effects, they do not equate to the full approval/safety apparatus being "compromised" in the blanket way implied for all vaccines.

Then they (Fauci et al) lied about the disease and the shot. So, distrust and outright anger have resulted. It was all about control, power and money. Myocarditis and Covid vaccine

Clinical Severity and OutcomesGenerally Mild:
The vast majority of post-vaccine cases are mild, temporary, and resolve quickly with rest and standard anti-inflammatory medications.

Hospitalization:
While patients are often hospitalized briefly for monitoring and cardiac enzyme checks, intensive care is rarely needed.

Long-Term Outlook:
Most patients retain or fully restore their normal heart function. However, the FDA updated product warnings because medical imaging (cardiac MRIs) sometimes shows persistent localized inflammation that doctors continue to track.

Why It Happens
Recent medical research, including studies from Stanford Medicine, indicates that the inflammation is caused by a transient, hyper-reactive innate immune response. In a small percentage of people, the vaccine triggers an overproduction of specific immune-signaling proteins (like interferon-gamma), which temporarily stresses heart muscle cells.

Vaccine vs. Infection Risk
Agencies like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association emphasize that getting COVID-19 poses a much higher risk to your heart than the vaccine.

A coronavirus infection is roughly 10 to 40 times more likely to cause myocarditis than the shot.

Myocarditis caused by the actual virus tends to be clinically severe, frequently resulting in worse cardiac damage and higher rates of intensive care placement.

Fauci Wrongdoing

Main Allegations and Investigation Findings

1. Funding of Research in Wuhan
The Accusation: Critics argue that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which Dr. Fauci led, funded dangerous "gain-of-function" research through sub-awards to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

The Evidence:
While NIAID did fund a grant to EcoHealth Alliance that studied bat coronaviruses in Wuhan, Dr. Fauci testified that these viruses were genetically distinct from SARS-CoV-2 and could not have caused the pandemic. Congressional Democrats' reports stated Fauci was unaware of the specific sub-award details until after the outbreak. Debate remains over whether the research technically met the regulatory definition of gain-of-function.

2. Suppression of the "Lab Leak" Theory
The Accusation: Critics allege Dr. Fauci actively suppressed the theory that COVID-19 escaped from a laboratory to protect public health agencies from blame.

The Evidence:
Dr. Fauci has repeatedly denied these claims, stating he has always kept an open mind about the origins of the virus. While early emails showed scientists debating the possibility, Dr. Fauci maintained that the scientific consensus pointed toward a natural spillover from animals. Intelligence agencies remain divided on the origin, but no direct evidence links Dr. Fauci to a cover-up.

3. Public Health Mandates and Missteps
The Accusation:
Critics point to shifting guidance on masking, social distancing, and lockdowns as evidence of intentionally misleading the public.
The Evidence:
Dr. Fauci acknowledged that public health guidelines evolved as new data emerged. For example, early guidance against masks was meant to preserve supplies for healthcare workers. In congressional testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, he clarified that certain guidelines, such as the "six-foot" social distancing rule, came from the CDC and lacked rigorous clinical trial data.

4. Misconduct by Senior Advisors
The Accusation:
In 2026, a federal grand jury indicted Dr. David Morens, a former senior advisor to Dr. Fauci, for obstruction of justice and conspiracy related to deleting official records and using personal emails to evade Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The Evidence:
Dr. Fauci publicly condemned Morens' actions during his congressional testimony, calling them "wrong and inappropriate" and a violation of NIH policy. While some Republican committee memos raised questions about whether Dr. Fauci was aware of these email practices, no formal charges or proof of complicity have been brought against Dr. Fauci himself.

Masks and Covid

Extensive real-world data and laboratory studies show that masks act as physical barriers to reduce the transmission of infectious respiratory particles. They protect both the person wearing them and those nearby.

How Masks Prevent the Spread
Source Control: When an infected person breathes, speaks, or coughs, the mask blocks their virus-laden respiratory droplets from entering the air. This is crucial because asymptomatic or presymptomatic individuals can unknowingly spread the virus.

Wearer Protection: The mask filters out infectious particles from the surrounding air, preventing the wearer from inhaling them.

Viral Load Reduction: Even if a mask does not entirely prevent infection, it lowers the "viral dose" inhaled. A smaller initial exposure frequently leads to milder symptoms.

Protection Levels by Mask Type
The design, materials, and fit of a mask heavily dictate its overall efficacy.

Why you will have a difficult time using AI to support your contentions:
AI models do not support unverified COVID-19 theories because they are explicitly programmed, trained, and regulated to prioritize empirically verified medical consensus over unproven claims. Because health misinformation can lead to severe real-world harm, tech companies implement strict algorithmic safeguards to block or correct unvetted medical data.

*It is unfortunate you got myocarditis from the Covid vaccine. I hope you made a full recovery.

...

Studies from Switzerland, Japan and Thailand have put the rate of heart injuries from mRNA shots including myocarditis at around 3%. Those types of studies would never see the day in countries whose medical and research establishment is captured by big pharma.

A prominent Swiss study published in the European Journal of Heart Failure found that ~ 1 in 35 (2.8%) healthy hospital employees developed transient, mild myocardial injury after receiving the Moderna (mRNA-1273) COVID-19 booster. [1, 2, 3]
Key specifics of the research:
  • Incidence: Out of 777 participants, exactly 22 individuals had elevated high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) levels above the normal range. [1, 2, 3]
  • Sex-Specific Rates: The injury was significantly more common in women (3.7%) than in men (0.8%). [1]
  • Timeline: The transient increase in troponin peaked around Day 3 post-vaccination and returned to normal ranges by Day 4. [1]
  • Symptoms & Severity: The injury was subclinical and mild. None of the affected participants developed major adverse cardiac events (MACE) or abnormal ECG changes within 30 days. [1, 2]
The Thailand adolescent study investigated subclinical heart injuries following mRNA COVID-19 boosters. It found that 29.24% of participants experienced cardiovascular symptoms like palpitations or tachycardia. While clinical myocarditis was rare, about 2.33% of subjects showed elevated cardiac biomarkers (like troponin), indicating mild, transient myocardial inflammation. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Findings
  • Prevalence: Approximately 1 in 43 adolescents in the Thai study exhibited transient, mild subclinical myocardial injury. This closely mirrored parallel research in Switzerland, which observed injury in about 1 in 35 adults after a booster. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Symptoms: Signs ranged from tachycardia, palpitations, and shortness of breath, to chest pain. [1]
  • Severity & Recovery: The elevated biomarkers and subtle cardiovascular changes were temporary. In the Thai cohort, all affected participants fully recovered within 14 days without major adverse cardiac events. [1, 2, 3]
  • Demographics: The highest rates of vaccine-induced myopericarditis generally occur in young adult and adolescent males. [1]

"legitimate scientific and policy issues that contributed to skepticism: revised official claims on transmission and duration of protection; acknowledged risks (e.g., myocarditis in young males for mRNA vaccines, with risk-benefit debates especially for low-risk/healthy children); natural immunity evidence that was often minimized; and real questions about cumulative childhood schedule effects or specific adjuvants (even if mainstream consensus holds strong net benefit/safety for recommended vaccines)."

This is indictment enough for the whole mRNA technology. The spike protein is a toxin that crosses the blood-brain barrier, acting like prions or other misfolded proteins that cause Parkinsons and other degenerative diseases. It also accumulates in organs, and creates autoimmune reactions in the heart causing myocarditis.

Just wondering, is it your position that:
The medical centers at UCLA, Stanford, UCSF, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, Toronto General, John's Hopkins, and Massachusetts General Hospital are deliberately giving medical advice with regard to COVID vaccines that is harming the public because of the money they make from Big Pharma?

If there is one professional class that is intrinsically conformist and tied to its establishment, it is the medical profession. And of course the regulatory environment is captured by industry, as is the medical establishment.

Most early assumptions about covid turned out to be wrong (it was man-made through gain of function research, not natural, respirators did more harm than not, the vaccine was not necessary for those who had already contracted covid, did more harm than not for college kids and children, it's not as harmless as was sold to the public, etc), and Mayo and co were wrong at nearly every step in this pandemic.

The Mayo Clinic's pandemic performance can be broken down into three main areas:

1. Clinical Successes and Public Guidance
Patient Outcomes: A review published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings showed that their patients experienced significantly lower mortality rates than national averages.

Testing and Research:
Mayo Clinic Laboratories were critical in developing high-volume, accurate testing and led the U.S.

Expanded Access Program for convalescent plasma.
Public Information:
Like major agencies (CDC, WHO), they publicly supported universal masking, social distancing, and vaccines as the safest paths out of the pandemic. They provided transparent, science-based guidance through extensive outreach, such as the Mayo Clinic Q&A Podcast.

2. Workplace Mandates and Litigation
Where the Mayo Clinic faced the heaviest criticism was its strict internal administrative policies:

Vaccine Mandates:
In 2021, Mayo implemented a strict COVID-19 vaccine mandate that resulted in the termination of employees who refused vaccination or routine testing.

Legal Battles:
The mandate sparked backlash, leading to ongoing lawsuits. For example, the Reuters reported that a federal appeals court revived lawsuits alleging religious discrimination regarding the clinic's exemption evaluation and testing policies.

3. Internal Dissent on Government Messaging
Prescribed Messaging:
During the height of the pandemic, some prominent Mayo Clinic doctors most notably Dr. Michael Joyner were disciplined or asked to stick to "prescribed messaging" to avoid federal research funding conflicts.

Lawsuit Rejection:
Dr. Joyner subsequently sued the organization for retaliation, but the Star Tribune reported that a jury ultimately rejected all of his claims against the Mayo Clinic.

While their strict corporate policies and suppression of independent physician voices sparked legal and operational conflicts, their core clinical care and contributions to medical research remained highly regarded.

Why AI Reflects the Pro-Vaccine Consensus
Data Training: AI models (like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude) are trained on vast corpora of peer-reviewed literature, official health organization directives (such as those from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and established epidemiological principles.

Objective Evaluation:
In computational processing, the massive statistical evidence of lives saved and severe illness prevented consistently outweighs anecdotal or pseudoscientific assertions against vaccination.

Using an actual proven and effective vaccine for illnesses like Polio or Measles is one thing. Being forced to take an experimental drug that doesn't even stop the virus, and isn't really a true "vaccine", is something else. Someone (like me) can be pro childhood vaccinations for things like Polio and Measles and still vehemently against the stupid and dangerous COVID shot for children.

Those are two totally different things.

Biden's CDC and FDA paved the way for folks to now refuse tested, effective vaccines. I warned about this about a hundred times on this site from 2021-2023. Obviously, this doesn't absolve the current administration.
