It is still a private business. You do know Delta, American Airline, etc. are publicly traded, for profit companies, right? Law firms are not government entities even if they are subject to state requirements on who can practice law. Uber is not a government entity even if their drivers' use of roads, speed limits, etc are regulated.
So, if you don't want to wear a mask, then don't. But you are not entitled to board a plane owned by a private business that requires it, just like AOC has no right to enter your house if she is not invited.

But if you don't want to get vaccinated, you didn't have to work for a company that employees more than 100 people. If you want to avoid wearing hard hats, you don't have to work at a construction site. You have the freedom, but not freedom without consequences for your actions. Even if the Supreme Court had not overturned it, you still would not have been required by law to get vaccinated.

If you want to avoid wearing hard hats, you don't have to work at a construction site. You have the freedom, but not freedom without consequences for your actions. Even if the Supreme Court had not overturned it, you still would not have been required by law to get vaccinated.

If you graduated from Cal, you are smarter than that. The condition that the private business implemented to use their aircraft was wearing a mask. If you don't want to wear a mask, don't take that flight. Other passengers satisfied the condition to use the private property. Let me make it simple for you. It is still a private business. You do know Delta, American Airline, etc. are publicly traded, for profit companies, right? Law firms are not government entities even if they are subject to state requirements on who can practice law. A lot of the microspopic virus particles collect in droplets. Any mask prevents the wearer from spewing out droplets. So it helps a little. The virus that gets aerosolized needs a better and better-fitting mask to stop it completely, but the less viral load somebody inhales, the less likely they are to get infected and the less likely they are to get really sick. Masks are one protective layer that helps to tamp down the spread, but they are not a panacea.

Nothing about this is a guarantee. It is about playing the odds and reducing your risk and saving hospital beds for people who need it.

I personally don't care that much whether some does something stupid like wear a mask below their nose, etc. since I know unless there is forced circulation with strong HEPA filter, any indoor area with a lot of people will have sufficient COVID in the air. I will wear my N95 mask and am fully vaccinated and boosted because my life is worthwhile, and I stopped having sympathy for those who don't value their life to do simple things. I think they are idiots without basic skills to pivot and adapt to this new reality and they are the ones who are rolling the dice. I don't need to care about their survival more than they do. The real harm to others is the healthcare workers and non-COVID related patients who cannot get a hospital bed because these idiots are clogging up our hospitals and leeching off our resources. Other than that, I don't care just like I don't care if I see an idiot riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

We generally avoid N95s because they are uncomfortable. We prefer something like this:

They are better than cloth mask but worse than n95. You should look into Enro, Happy Mask or KF94 with three D shape from Korea that are much more comfortable than 3M N95 masks.

In 1982, I was on vacation in Tahoe and went to see Michael McDonald at a casino ( Harrah's?). I think it may have been a warmup performance for a tour to support his first solo album, If That's What it Takes. His band was top rate. Session bass player Willie Weeks, Robben Ford on lead guitar (he played at Guitar Explosion at the BCT in '72) and Edgar Winter (Johnny's brother) on keyboards. The concert was brilliant and among the best I ever saw. None of Michael's solo albums comes near his first one.
