When it comes to innovation, I am glad he thinks outside the box and is not afraid to fail. Not much progress can be made in disruptive technology with people just shooting down those who attempt to innovate and question status quo.

Yeah, maybe this was a bad idea, but at least he is trying and, as a result, making damn more difference than most of us.

Don't like the guy as a human being, but I don't blame him for trying to think creatively to solve existing societal problems.
