As before, you like to assert that Biden's policy preferences (which you like) make him mentally sound. They do not. Totally separate issues. Any objective observer - including a whole host of liberals like Robert Reich - recognize his decline. And the polls and Bidenflation speak for themselves in terms of how his policies are "functioning"

Nice try but I've been consistent from the get go here. If you go back to my posts about Biden during the election you will see that I said that he's always been dumb. I've said that I think the bar should be higher and that it's sad that the only smart presidents during my lifetime were Obama and Clinton. The GOP is hostile to intelligence because they think it smacks of elitism, and it's only getting worse. It's a wonder that Mitt Romney ever had a chance - he's the only intelligent GOP nominee since perhaps Nixon. Bob Dole wasn't a genius but he was far above the current GOP line of intelligence.
So yes, I think it's disingenuous when GOPers complain about Biden's intelligence because many of them still complain about Obama's intelligence. You are too much of a partisan hack to acknowledge that Obabma was far more intelligent than any GOP nominee in decades so the best you can do is ignore the argument.
Back to Biden. Is he senile? No, it doesn't appear so. Trump is dumb as a rock and, perhaps due to the series of mini-strokes he allegedly had, his verbal performance declined from his already incredibly low state in 2015 to an embarrassing level by 2020. I would assume his decline continued.
Biden was always dumb, suffers from a lifelong stutter, and is not a great speechmaker. He's much like Dubya in that regard. I think it's sad that we are afraid to have a smart president and that the result is being stuck with someone like Biden, but I haven't seen any signs that he's unable to read briefings, engage with policy and run the executive branch professionally. Functionally, that's what we need from our president and something that not even the rosiest of GOPers like you could convince anyone Trump did. I'm not even sure if Trump could read Chip Kelly's picture play calling if he had to. He's allergic to the written word and anyone who is claiming Biden is senile, without acknowledging his intellectual superiority to Trump, is either incredibly brainwashed, making a disingenuous and bad faith argument or is even dumber than Trump and Biden. I think we all know where BG fits into this discussion.
