Both sides are too simplistic and do not have actual experience leading a commerical organization.okaydo said:i will remind people again that desantis’ smashing reelection victory looks much less impressive when you consider that he faced one of the weakest democratic candidates on the board that year and still only outperformed his ticket mate, marco rubio, by 3 points

The right does not understand that, to keep investors and employees happy, companies sometimes have to take actions that the right considers "woke". This does not necessarily reflect the personal beliefs of the individual directors or executives.
The left does not know when to call a win a win but instead keeps pushing to an illogical point of demand. This creates a reflexive reaction from the right (representing about half of the customer base), making it more likely that companies will take a neutral position and not step into issues unless critical to their long-term interests.
DeSantis may look like a fool here, but his actions are causing a lot of companies to pause before they take action that can cause them to be the next Disney. No matter who wins, the company will still lose. The only companies who can take active positions are those like Nike since they cater more to the younger folks who don't mind dropping couple of hundred dollars on sneakers on their way to protest how capitalism is evil.
