I suppose an important question is does the good outweigh the bad.
I have heard some amazing stories through my connections in the prosecutor community of flocks helping to nail some major public menaces.

There definitely needs to be regulation of data collection and retention.

Even if all flocks were banned nationwide, now that the genie is out of the bottle, a totalitarian government would be able to hook those cameras up pretty fast anyway.

Perhaps a few multi million dollar verdicts punishing misuse of flocks would incentivize toeing the line.
