versus other investigations and just the amount of money spent period. The current Trump document investigation spent in 4 months the same amount of the entire 3.5 year Durham investigation.

The government spends more than 10 million per year on paper clips and staples.

So far the Jack Smith investigation cost about what the Durham investigation cost. Durham got one minor guilty plea and embarrassingly lost his only 2 trials. I am glad for the Durham investigation because we can now have confidence the Trump-Russia investigations were justified. The Mueller investigation also found lots of guilt and paid for itself.

The real waste have been the decades of politically motivated investigations done by Congressional Republicans that have yielded nothing but changes in poll numbers.

I gotta run for now, but I certainly appreciate your substantive response. Hopefully, the discussion can be more like this and less like a five year old crying child crying and name-calling weeks after getting his snack stolen by a bully.

No it didn't. Jack Smith is spending 2.25+ million per month on this investigation and has spent more than the entire Durham investigation, which certainly found malfeasance by the FBI.

"Special counsel John Durham concludes FBI never should have launched full Trump-Russia probe"

"Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the (Justice) Department and FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report," Durham wrote.

"The report also concludes that "at least on the part of certain personnel intimately involved in the matter" there was "a predisposition to open an investigation into Trump."

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/05/15/politics/john-durham-report-fbi-trump-released/index.html

DOJ has spent more than $9M investigating Trump, less than $1.2M probing Biden: report

"The current spending totals could actually be much higher than stated in the report since they do not account for any activities conducted in April, May, June and July a period which marked a significant escalation in the special counsel's investigation and Trump's indictment on 37 felony counts related to the classified documents probe."

https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2023/07/07/doj-has-spent-more-than-9m-investigating-trump-less-than-1-2m-probing-biden-report/amp/

It is certainly worthy of an open-minded discussion without flame-throwing the OP.

Since 003 does not possess the testicular fortitude to do it, here's this tidbit on just Hilary:

"A total of 10 House and Senate committees all with an unlimited budget spent $8,000 a day on the Benghazi hearings, spending a total of approximately $22 million. That makes a total of about $100 million spent by Republicans on hearings and investigations into Hillary Clinton without anything to show for it.

And if that wasn't enough, then began a year-long investigation by the FBI of her e-mails when she was secretary of state that ended with a report that "no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges." This wasted north of $20 million, according to the conservative online magazine American Thinker."

As far as the email investigation, they didn't find evidence that she knowingly violated the law, which is not surprising considering everyone involved didn't remember anything about anything. As far as Benghazi, it should only have been investigated once. It was an incredibly serious event and Hillary's department absolutely dropped the ball.

$8,000 per day (an amount you make a big deal about) is far less than the amount (roughly $40,000 per day) spent on investigating Trump's document handling. I read Dajo's posted link and responded to it, so clearly I am willing to discuss this with someone who isn't a complete jerk. Regardless, the resources spent investigating Biden have been miniscule compared to the great efforts investigating Trump. I understand that you an many others here feel that is rightfully so, since you believe Biden is completely innocent and Trump guilty.
AunBear89
How long do you want to ignore this user?
My issue is not who is guilty and who is not - those aren't decisions we get to make. Yet all of the moron conservatives believe Trump is pure as the driven snow, and Biden is as guilty of everything.

You came on here, pissing and moaning about all the $$$ spent investigating Trump's illegal activities, yet you seem perfectly cool with over $100 m spent on investigating - nothing.

So, weaponized political investigations that produce nothing, like the Benghazi hearings, are cool. But legitimate investigations in to crimes that the suspect has openly admitted he did are a waste of time and money.

Liars, morons, and hypocrites.

(The pending reply from 003 is Exhibit A why I don't waste my time in substantive conversations with pinhead conservative posters on BI. )
