Bummer.
I was recalling fondly my days of following the OJ trial, the Ahmaud Arbery trial, the George Floyd trial. Was looking forward to getting to see trump squirm each day.

America would be best served if televised.
Instead, Foxnews will spin what happened inside. And if just one MAGA is on the jury, it will be a hung jury and Trump will claim victory, just like he spun the Mueller Report, which did NOT find him innocent.

Trump gets by on technicalities, and while I'm confident that he won't unanimously be found not guilty, I feel it's fairly likely to be a hung jury, 11-1 or 10-2.

Well, what Johnny Cochran rhyme will come out of it? I guess there's always that.

I really wish someone would teach Trump the meaning of the word hoax. There is a distinction between concepts like nonexistent, disagreeable, fraudulent, make believe, sabotage, etc. He throws everything he wants to dismiss under the umbrella hoax. To be clear most of the things he calls a hoax have in fact happened; are real; are documented; initiated by a mix of parties who are both Republican and Democrat; are legitimate; and for the most part typical legally, politically, and procedurally.

In other words just because he doesn't like it or disagrees with it, doesn't make it a conspiracy or something so unjust or irrational. He is always the hero and the victim. Strong and weak. Smart and ignorant. The perfect fit for people capable of cognitive dissonance as it relates to their tribalism.

But in the end, do you believe she will be revelatory? Or clam up with a bunch of "I do not recall" statements.

It's really a shame we don't get to watch on TV. Sounds like a parade of witnesses who would have to have their stories aligned with nobody cracking under pressure in order for it to come out right for Trump.

I simply cannot get my hopes up. I think they will either lie properly or forget conveniently.
But I'd love to watch them squirm in the witness booth, so I can point out the moments of lying or convenient forgetting.

Foxnews will obscure the facts even if they tell the truth and nail Trump to the wall. Video would disprove MAGA nation media lies.

She is a prosecution witness. She obviously committed a crime or she would not be ratting on her Liege Lord. She cut a deal. She probably signed a statement. She won't jump her testimony because she knows they will prosecute her. Yes, in a non jury tampering situation, her testimony would crucify this vessel of Christ (upside down, naturally, out of respective, like St. Peter).

In the end it's all a dog and pony show. Hung jury.

Don't ask me why, but it will be ok with me if Dan Bongino carries the 100 lb. ball, while 2 secret service agents in sunglasses on either side escort the Don to his cell ....

Edit: If for some reason Bongino is unavailable, I will be also ok with either Pete Hegseth, Brian Kilmeade or Hannity carrying the 100 lb. iron ball while the 2 secret service agents in sunglasses escort Trump to his jail cell. Common denominator: All love Trump, which makes them all moral losers.

So, you're pointing out that there's two ways for Trump to win.

1. Coerce the testimony of witnesses.
2. Coerce the jury.

As we can all see, this judge is not going to be coerced. Unlike judge canon in Florida, he sees blood! I like that!

I wouldn't. Once you do your duty for the government, whether it be as a juror, a witness to a crime, an informant, or a soldier*, and you are no longer of use to them, THEY DON'T GIVE A F@UCK ABOUT YOU.
