He was not convicted of sexual abuse either. There is a reason the SOL expires on cases like this. New York created a window so Jean Carroll could get Trump, even though it was against the SOL. It is nearly impossible to prove one way or the other that this brief encounter, which is now characterized like a crime in an SVU episode, actually happened 29 or 30 years ago (we don't actually know when exactly because the victim doesn't know what year it was). Yes, the judge said the jury decided the preponderance of evidence indicated Trump sexually abused the victim in the 1990s one time in a department store changing room when they went in there together making out.
