This long downward trend dates back many years, decades even, so it spans administrations... Sadly, there are legitimate, incontestable instances, many of them, for such expressed sentiment. It's well-earned; and a big problem, IMO.

Sadly, a relationship without trust is one of minimal value and often, eventually, not worth maintaining. As citizens, for information and guidance on important matters, there needs to be a high level of trust in our government and media, which we don't have...
