This may go down as the most stupid comment ever made by any POTUS on so many levels. Does Trump not even know that Hitler's generals tried to assassinate Hitler.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-hitler-generals/

Except he probably didn't say it and there's no proof he did.

This is in your Snopes article:

"More recently, Kelly spoke with both The Atlantic (in the same article) and The New York Times. In the former, he claimed the Republican nominee once said he wished his generals were more like those of Germany, and in the latter Kelly said Trump once told him: "You know, Hitler did some good things, too."

I believe in most jurisdictions the testimony of one credible witness is enough to meet the burden of proof.
Most jurors would find John Kelly more credible than Trump.

I couldn't possibly imagine why John Kelly would be vindictive and make things up about Trump…

Yep, that would be the closing argument…but it rarely convinces a jury when the party contesting the testimony has zero credibility.

You think John Kelly has any credibility left?

1. Far more than Trump; and

2. ….and even more now that people have seen what the weasels that won't stand up to Trump look and sound like.

Kelly would face far less credibility hurdles in court than former mobsters that testify against the mafia and are getting reduced prison terms…..and they are highly successful helping to secure convictions.

Most successful wrongful termination plaintiffs are labeled "disgruntled fired employee " but to no avail.

Finally, as SBGold points out, a jury in a defamation action would think, "Oh yeah, Trump for sure would say something like that." Granted, if you were on the jury, you wouldn't think that.

*We may actually get to see our arguments play out if Trump's attorneys can draft a pleading that can survive the law and motion stage.

Federal judge tosses Trump's $15B defamation lawsuit against New York Times | WLRN https://www.wlrn.org/law-justice/2025-09-19/federal-judge-tosses-trumps-15b-defamation-lawsuit-against-new-york-times

"He also sued Michael S. Schmidt for a piece two days later featuring an interview with Trump's first-term chief of staff, John Kelly, headlined "As Election Nears, Kelly Warns Trump Would Rule Like a Dictator."

1000x more than Trump, McConnell, Lindsay, McCarthy, Rubio, Navarro, Giuliani , John Eastman - just to name a few who participated on Jan 6, or defended Trump's guilt afterwards.

"You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides… I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists… And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly."

"Multiple reports from linguists, journalists, and political analysts have noted that Donald Trump often speaks vaguely or ambiguously, a pattern that many observers believe is a calculated strategy to maintain deniability. This style allows different audiences to project their own interpretations onto his words and gives him room to later reinterpret or deny what he said.

Key characteristics of this speaking style include:

Use of coded language: Analysts at Brandeis University and other institutions have noted Trump's use of phrases that can be interpreted differently by various audiences. For example, he has used terms that resonate with white nationalists while maintaining the ability to argue that his statements had a more innocuous meaning.

Plausible deniability through suggestion: Observers point out that Trump often implies things rather than stating them directly, a rhetorical device known as paraleipsis. This allows him to "activate" his followers' interpretations of his intended meaning and then credibly fight with the media over what he did or did not explicitly say.

Simple, repetitive language: Trump's speaking style has been described as using simple words and repetitive phrases. Some analysts believe this allows him to be vague enough for people to project their own interpretations onto his words and can be a powerful sales technique to influence an audience.

Boasting about the "weave": Trump has publicly discussed his conversational style, which he calls "the weave." He claims this is a "genius" method of jumping between topics, but critics see it as rambling and incoherent.

Contradictions and shifting reality: Observers like Yale professor Jason Stanley have argued that by constantly contradicting himself, Trump undermines a shared sense of reality, which is essential for collective decision-making in a democracy. The contradictions can be seen as part of his strategy to achieve domination rather than accuracy.

This method of communication has drawn widespread criticism. Analysts from different backgrounds have pointed out that this approach can undermine political processes, shift the Overton window of acceptable discourse, and contribute to public confusion."

In other words, Trump talks like Draymond kicks guys in the nuts, ambiguously and with plausible deniability.

Or if you do teach history, you stick to the boring aspects like date, place, who - and veer away from the why. Because I don't suppose that you're very good at that part.

Oh please, you're entirely using it as an insult. My spelling…. One typo…. God forbid lmao.

How many schools have you worked in to come up with that conclusion? In my experience, PE teachers are the most rigid as they have to set very clear boundaries and expectations to avoid injury in their classes. They are arguably the least nutty group of educators.

Oh btw, you made a grammatical mistake. You're missing a comma in a non-restrictive clause. You're welcome.

I teach whoever is in front of me, the same way I'd teach any other student. Personal biases do not belong in a classroom and they certainly aren't happening in mine. My job is to educate students and allow them to think for themselves. My job is not to tell them what to think or why to think it.

Again, no proof of him saying it. That was my claim. It's still true.

You're foolish if you keep repeating that nonsense about him calling white nationalists fine people. Please listen to the whole quote again and educate yourself. Hard to argue with you when you ignore the actual quote. Come back to me with the whole quote of what he said and I'll be happy to have this convo.

I watched the press conference where he said it, I don't need or want to debate Cheeto's embarrassing episode with you.

I don't want to debate because I am 100% right. One side was white nationalists, duh

I'm surprised that no one here has bothered to post the video of what Trump said.

To be honest, it's clear that Trump clarified that the WHITE NATIONALISTS and NEO-NAZI's were not part of his definition of "fine people" that were protesting.

Go to the 2-minute mark.

Have a great day thinking about PE teachers

I don't know how it was presumed you taught PE - maybe because this is primarily a sports website - but I sure hope you don't teach history or psychology (not a middle school subject).

Or if you do teach history, you stick to the boring aspects like date, place, who - and veer away from the why. Because I don't suppose that you're very good at that part.

1) SBGold name called him a PE teacher because she views it as an insult and it was a personal attack on BearlySane88.

2) Given your lack of reading comprehension, emotional immaturity, and instinct to wrongfully chime in on stuff you know little about, I'd much rather have my kids learn history or psychology from BearlySane88.

Nah, not really a personal attack. Just an observation that BS88 is poor at grammar, spelling and reasoning, so he seems pretty non-academic. And he's nutty as well. Most of the teachers in schools that have those traits that I have seen have been PE teachers.

I appreciate a good PE teacher as much as the next gal.

If you take it as an insult, you take it as an insult. It's not my job to tell you how to think.

A few schools and a few teachers help with the conclusion I made. I've had kids that have been in schools with PE for totaling about 14-15 years now. The dataset is strong. PE teachers pre-college are nutty.

Great press conference by Trump. His answers are 100% accurate. Your narrow-minded, idiotic response to it, which is shared by much of the left wing media, is why you lost the last election.

Respect level for you going way up. I appreciate you not letting your hatred of Trump override common sense and fact in this matter. SB needs help.
