Happy Roevember to all those who celebrate.

Democracy works best when elections have consequences. Let the people vote. Let elected politicians take action. Then let the people vote again. Women are finding their voice this Roevember. That's what happens when you take away people's basic rights. It's been going on for 2 years now and some men still don't see it.

Women are not as shallow as you. They care about the rights of women in other parts of the country.

Thank God that Roe was overturned so that women in other parts of the country can decide.

In Pennsylvania, while Republicans cannibalize what used to be election day votes, older women for Harris are surging ahead while the younger women are keeping their powder dry for election day.

Meanwhile Don the Con has no ground game in Pennsylvania. All the money was sucked up by the grift. My email offering to help went unresponded to.

There is such a profound misunderstanding of Roe.

Roe was about the competing interests of women and the state, expressed in trimesters. Restrictions on abortion were absolutely allowed throughout the pregnancy, though the burden on the state was extraordinarily high earlier in the pregnancy and low at the end.

Casey - which came decades later - changed abortion to be about women's rights.

In my opinion, absolutely. Even people who believe the recent SCOTUS decision was right as a matter of law concede it came with absolute social and political costs. R's would be idiots to revisit the topic instead of taking their win and moving on.

I'm not ruling out the Trumpified GOP doing something idiotic at this point.

Trump said on several occasions he will not institute a federal abortion ban to the disappointment for some on the right.
If Democrats gain the White House and Congressional majorities, will they make sure abortion is the law of the land? Of course they will.

Just like Democrats couldn't rule out Trump was colluding with Putin and Russia and that he was going to start WWIII.

If Democrats win the Presidency and Congress they will restore women's rights to women. Such a simple concept.

Yes. Some rights belong to the individual. Not the people.

The right to abort babies is not an individual right in the Constitution even if you sprinkle lemon juice on it.

Be careful what you wish for. If you subject rights to the "will of the people", we'd have abortion rights, gun control and books wouldn't be banned in schools and libraries, to name just a few examples.

According to Gallup, more than 8 in 10 Democrats are more enthusiastic than usual about voting in this election. Highest enthusiasm since 2008. More enthusiastic than the record breaking breaking Democratic vote of 2020. Ten points higher than MAGAts. Meanwhile, Dementia Donold is plodding around aimlessly to places like New Mexico or speaking to small halls with empty seats in battlegrounds like Michigan. And that's when he's not talking about Arnold Palmer's dick size or pretending to perform oral sex on microphones.

D's likely won't get 50 much less the 60 that's needed in the Senate.

Here's some data on cannibalizing votes in Pennsylvania. Original source data is from Targetsmart which tracks this stuff.
https://www.reddit.com/r/YAPms/comments/1gdbjbj/republicans_in_pennsylvania_have_already/

The already voted electorate skews older and more female than 2020. Republicans are counting on election day to look like 2020 but it won't.

EDIT - I mean it will in that MAGAts will have more votes on election day but in much smaller numbers than 2020.

Thx, but I meant is it fact that the younger dem voters are coming on Tuesday. Like, often those last minute people don't end up showing up - especially the young ones.

Why use 2008 as a reference? Joe Biden got 12 million more votes in 2020 than Obama.received in 2008.
There was extreme enthusiasm to cheat in 2020. The enthusiasm is still there in 2024 but the Democrats know there are more eyes watching.
