Your heroes Ratcliffe and Gabbard LIED.
They PERJURED themselves in front of Congress yesterday.

The exact timing of Bombs dropping is classified military intelligence.
There were elements of a War Plan on that Signal chat.
Those things are discussed only in a SCIF.

Atlantic magazine publishes Yemen strike messages shared in White House group chat

The Atlantic

This whole Signal chat brouhaha is trivial partisan politics. The real issue here is the Yemen and mideast policy itself.

The real story is that this administration is using Signal chat to avoid any record of their illegal activities. Using messaging apps like Signal to avoid creating records raises serious ethical concerns. Without a proper record of communications, it becomes difficult to hold officials responsible for their actions and decisions.

You don't say!?

So you are playing partisan politics? Hypocrite!

This exactly illustrates the issue. If Hillary's email server was worthy of such attention (even if there was no evidence that any information had actually been leaked out of there) then certainly this incident is!

China has a massive online espionage operation. Years ago I saw a hearing on CSPAN where we have good intell on where they snoop, the number one location being Taiwan data.

I believe it's long settled that China, Russia, and Israel at minimum have HRCs homebrew server contents.

Wiki: Former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael T. Flynn, former United States Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and former deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency Michael Morell have said that it is likely that foreign governments were able to access the information on Clinton's server.

Did you copy and paste that from the Webster's Dictionary text under the word "Whataboutism?"

No deflection or distraction can help them….and the TDS excuse just took the last bus out of town.

From the same Wiki:
Quote:

According to Pagliano, security logs of Clinton's email server showed no evidence of successful hacking. The New York Times reported that "forensic experts can sometimes spot sophisticated hacking that is not apparent in the logs, but computer security experts view logs as key documents when detecting hackers," adding the logs "bolster Mrs. Clinton's assertion that her use of a personal email account ... did not put American secrets into the hands of hackers or foreign governments."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Clinton_email_controversy

So if it happened it would have had to have happened and left no trace for the investigators. Meanwhile, the Trump team just added a guy to their group chat who was able to screenshot and publish it in The Atlantic. Is this a serious comparison?

I see at least two main differences here:

-Hillary deliberately conducted her official functions on private servers to hide her activities, while Hegseth and co were more like incompetent noobs. If that weren't the case, they wouldn't have put a journo like Goldberg on that chat group.

-The outrage generated here about these noobs' lack of professional protocol, vs the dismissal of Hillary's long-standing deliberate violations ("but her emails!").

Ignoring these facts is the hypocritical stance here.

No, they wanted those chats on Signal so they would later be deleted and untrackable. This is part of the strategy. Only yeah, they f***ed it up because they are incompetent.

Guys like Hegseth had very little experience working under an advanced security protocol and kept to their usual "civilian" standards. If secrecy were their main concern, they wouldn't have had a journo like Jeff Goldberg in their chat circle.

Right right, we should go easier on Hegseth because of his inexperience.

Are you aware of just how utterly STUPID this sounds???
Are you really this tone-deaf?

You're acting as though it was only ONE PERSON that was "inexperienced" and kept to their usual "civilian" standards.

Not a SINGLE PERSON on that Signal GROUP Chat ever said over the course of several days on this platform,
"Hey guys, don't you think we should move to a more secure platform?"

When are you gonna stop making pathetic excuses?
Wake up!

If China, Russia and Israel had been proven to have infiltrated Hillary's server, then it would be a slam dunk that the Trump 1 administration would have prosecuted her and she'd be behind bars. I suspect they could still prosecute her even now. The fact that the Trump DOJ isn't even mentioning the possibility when threatening literally hundreds of others is telling.

Not to mention that Hillary's email server HAS been investigated . . . a lot! As usual with her, they couldn't find anything, but of course the whispered suggestions will continue until they have the force of truth.

They buried it all.

China's really not interested in your grandmother's recipes or VallejoWags stock picks. They have thousands of online hackers monitoring our most important moves, not to mention their extensive spy network including Fang Fang, Dianne Feinstein's driver for 20 years, and shipping ties to Mitch McConnell. HRC would have been a top ten target.

Not sure if anyone has talked about this one yet. Honestly, no one should be traveling to the United States at all. If you happen to overstay for even a day or two, you could get tossed into jail with no way of getting out for weeks or months. Except if you read the story, that's not what she did. She was on an approved work visa that was suddenly removed because she had worked for a beverage company that used hemp as an ingredient.

And honestly, even if you do overstay, should that mean you get thrown into jail for two weeks or more while everyone you talk to just says "I don't know" when you ask when you'll be released back to your home country? She didn't even get out until she contacted people on the outside who got her story into the media. And when she was let go, they claimed they didn't know she had offered to pay her own way back to Canada. Only according to her, she had offered this multiple times and gotten no answer.

Again, if the government can do this stuff to these people with no oversight, that means they can do it to you.
