One thing is for sure; everyone will hate Trump more in 2026 if that's even possible. Either MAGA folk will start turning their backs on him if Pam Bondi and Kash Patel don't arrest any high-profile Dems/ Deep Staters OR the Dems will hate Trump even more when he does start arresting them. There will be George Floyd-like riots everywhere if there's enough USAID money left to fund them.

My guess is that you won't be able to answer the question.
You'll just "answer" it with yet another question like you usually do.

Republicans control the Senate with 53 seats but needed 60 to end the shutdown. It would take seven Democrats to agree to reopen but they repeatedly refused.

Rational adults would have negotiated a compromise to avoid the shutdown, but rational adults in Washington DC are in short supply these days.

Democrats believe the shutdown helped them politically and they will do it again and try to highjack the Trump agenda in 2026.

The Democrats have the shutdown and Obana-appointed judges.
