You were wrong before. Tariffs on China: the data (2017 through 2019) proved the tariffs did not raise prices.
It is you that is WRONG.
A.) The CPI did in fact increase from 1.3% in 2016 to 2.4% in 2018.
B.) His tariffs on China were only $360 billion and spread out over time via four tranches.
C.) This time around, inflation is alive and well as confirmed by bond yields. The supply chain still has issues.
D.) His tariffs on Canada (25%) and Mexico (25%) are all at once and cover $1.3 Trillion in goods. Nearly 4x that of before.
TARIFFS: Turns out tariffs are a VERY useful tool into getting entrenched governments to come to the negotiating table very quickly. BOGE: pinpoints USAID (C-A) as a $50 B cesspool; temporarily shut down

I dunno if people are talking enough about this, but Trump and Elon have thrown down such a huge gauntlet that it's literally a battle for final survival.

USAID sources are telling me that contractors abroad have lost access to agency software, including Scry Panic, a GPS-tracking panic button used in case of kidnapping or terror attack

12 years after Benghazi, Trump and Musk are creating conditions for it to happen all over again
I'm also pretty sure this is not legal. Even if the agency was directly created by JFK (debatable, as it was in response to a law passed in Congress), plenty of other Congressional acts since then have specified it. The Executive Branch isn't supposed to unilaterally decide that the money shouldn't be spent in that way anymore.harebear said:USAID sources are telling me that contractors abroad have lost access to agency software, including Scry Panic, a GPS-tracking panic button used in case of kidnapping or terror attack
