Let the carnage begin

Donald Trump will flex one of the most intense and sweeping demonstrations of presidential power on the first day of any administration, seeking to fundamentally change America's course by sundown on Monday.

On a frigid day that forced inside his swearing-in as the 47th president, Trump plans a blizzard of hardline executive actions on immigration, energy production, transgender athletes and the pardoning of January 6 rioters.

His inaugural show of force "close to 100 to be exact," he said Sunday will set the tone for a second term anchored on Trump's strongman persona and vision of an all-powerful presidency, aimed at unleashing intense disruption at home and abroad.

The first thing he should do is preemptively pardon himself and his entire staff. After all, it isn't proof of criminality. Rather, they are targets of Democrat witch hunts.

It's hard watching the Rotunda, where MAGA protestors invaded in protest of the popular vote, be turned into decoration for the original coup d'etat artist.

Trump has been sworn in and announces his Golden Era of America has begun. Meaningless branding rhetoric as far as I'm concerned.

Does he have any cabinet members approved?

Here's the answer:

Hearings before Inauguration, Senate votes after.

https://www.presidentialtransition.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2020/12/Senate_Traditionally_Confirms_First_Cabinet_Secretaries.pdf

Quote:

Under Presidents Clinton, W. Bush and Obama, Cabinet secretary nominations announced during the transition period were confirmed by the Senate in an average of just 2.4 days.
The Senate confirmed Clinton's nominees in less than one day on average, and W. Bush's in less than two days. Obama's nominees took slightly longer with an average of about five days; Obama's average dropped due to delays for two nominations the confirmations of Attorney General Eric Holder (13 days) and Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis (35 days). Otherwise, Obama's nominees were confirmed on average within 1.1 days.

Cabinet secretaries announced
during the transition period Confirmed by the Senate Avg. number of days:

President Clinton 0.8
W. Bush 1.6
Obama 4.9
Trump 23.9

While Trump's nominees took an average of nearly 24 days each to confirm., his experience was the exception rather than the rule. Because of the transition's leadership changes immediately following the election, the Trump transition had a late start selecting and vetting candidates. This late start, combined with paperwork delays for nominees and the fact that a number of nominees had particularly complicated financial portfolios, added days to the confirmation process. Some of Trump's nominees faced additional procedural votes to advance their nominations, due to a lack of bipartisan support. Even with those problems, 14 of the 15 secretaries Trump officially submitted to the Senate were eventually confirmed.
Appointee preparation is vital for success in the Senate and allows for greater cooperation between the administration and Congress.

How dare that black pastor co-opt MLK's famous words and extend them to represent Trump's J6 prosecutions.

Sacrilegious.

I wonder how much he charged to do that?
I wonder what his black congregation, if he actually has one, will say to him after that stunt.

Probably a hired actor Trump found from his Apprentice show.

Pastor Lorenzo Sewell is the senior pastor of 180 Church in Detroit, Michigan. Born and raised on Detroit's east side, he faced numerous challenges in his youth, including his father's incarceration and the tragic loss of his younger brother. These early hardships led him into a life of crime, eventually becoming a gang leader. However, in 1999, during his senior year of high school, Sewell experienced a profound spiritual transformation that shifted his path toward Christianity and pastoral leadership.

Pastor Sewell's connection with President Trump began in 2024 when he hosted the then-presidential candidate at 180 Church for a campaign event and roundtable discussion. Sewell's heartfelt and impromptu prayer during the event left a lasting impression on Trump, leading to his invitation to participate in the inauguration. This marked the beginning of a closer relationship, with Sewell becoming a visible figure in Trump's campaign. He traveled extensively across the United States, offering opening prayers at events, participating in Republican gatherings, and speaking at the Republican National Convention in July 2024.

Throughout his ministry and public life, Pastor Sewell has emphasized the intersection of faith and politics, often highlighting the Bible's relevance to social and political issues. He is deeply committed to serving his community and using his platform to inspire hope, transformation, and faith-based leadership. His personal journey from adversity to leadership serves as a powerful example of redemption and resilience, inspiring many in Detroit and beyond.

"A "decent person" typically embodies qualities like honesty, integrity, kindness, responsibility, respect, empathy, fairness, loyalty, generosity, and a willingness to listen and consider others' perspectives; essentially, treating others with dignity and acting with moral principles in their interactions."
-Google AI Overview

Question:

Who in the Trump "Orbit"* do you consider to be decent person using the above definition? Asking for a friend, Big C.

*Orbit being defined as Trump himself, his family members, business and political associates, social associates, media figures and celebrity supporters.

Trump's speech preceding his public signing of Exec orders was hard to watch. His ramblings are part of his popularity with his core base but it's tough to watch, for me at least.

3 speeches.
Not 1.

Quantity over Quality.

Instead of talking UP to the American people, he talked DOWN to them.

Nothing soaring or uplifting like how many Presidents spoke to the American people before him.

He also never mentioned anything about "reaching out".
He did the opposite.

He also had Gen. Mark Milley's portrait removed from the Pentagon hallway.
Never mind that Milley had served our Country for 43 years while the Orange Buffoon claimed "bone spurs".

Get ready for the "Trump Revenge Tour" where every hallowed American institution will be tarnished.

I'm not bothered by Milley's painting. He accepted a pardon, which is tantamount to admitting guilt. Adios.

List of some 78 executive orders by Trump today.

If you look at the date, they appear to be entirely wholesale cancelations of Biden's executive orders.

A popular Trump meme was a gif of Trump eclipsing Obama like the sun eclipsing the moon.

Many of the canceled executive order, I noticed, are you do with Covid pandemic. That's over. So it just seems petty to me. But, that's entirely who trump is.

And it's typical of conquering parties. Burn their buildings. Rape their women.
Has anyone been to Cordoba Spain? When the Christians overtook the Moors, they built a big Christian cathedral right in the middle of the city's mosque.
At least they left a good portion of the mosque standing. Today it represents our rich shared historical cultural experience.

The definition said HONESTY.

Therefore, nobody in Trump Orbit qualifies as a "decent person". They ALL lie about a basic question such as "who won the 2020 election?"

I have not seen that.
But I did just watch the indoor military parade, and, you know, I was actually thinking that at least one of those soldiers with their spear could lunge out and skewer the man through the torso. Moreso, I had a flash image that all 200 men would bum rush him and end his day. They were all armed. They had him right where there would be no escape. Not even the Supreme Court!

Boy, thank god that horrible vision didn't come to pass. Can you imagine how inexperienced a President Vance would be?

He's probably having the portrait delivered to the White House so he can see it be burned and flushed down his toilet, like so many executive office notes.

You'll know it has happened when 3 plumbing crews get called in.

Who thinks the portrait will survive 4 years?

How long you reckon TDS will provide a serviceable deflective shield for his conduct? Another 4? Less? More?

Remember when you used to try to come off as that famous hypothetical person,The Reasonable Man? I never bought it, but at least you tried.

Who is on your list of "decent" persons in Trump's orbit? Conor McGregor? Mel Gibson? Rudy? Stephen Miller? Pete Hegseth? Don, Jr.? Gym Jordan? Devin Nunes? Jason Miller? Tucker? Musk? Zuckerberg? Cardinal Dolan? MTG? Lauren Boebert? Kari Lake? Guilfoyle?
