The CIF State Track Meet is one of the greatest things you can ever attend.
Held down in Clovis at a drop-dead gorgeous stadium at Buchanon High School at the end of May.

Watch Acalanes High in Lane 6.
The team of Torres, Bielawski, Rogers, and Kuhner.

3-star recruit Trevor Rogers is now at CAL playing wide receiver. His brother played football for the Bears and his sister played soccer at Cal. A cousin played volleyball at Cal. Dad John played water polo at Cal on an NCAA Championship team.

Rogers won the State Long Jump with a jump of 24-03.75 on his final attempt.
In prelims, he was out over 24-07.

A great Cal Bear family!

Thx for posting.
The Kuhner brothers were from Orinda decades ago. Basketball was their main sport.

"Courtside seats at Chase Center for Warriors playoff games can cost anywhere from $6,040 to $41,082, depending on the game and demand, according to Yahoo Sports and Vivid Seats. During the 2022-23 regular season, the average courtside seat cost around $2,000. For the 2024-25 season, the starting price for Courtside Club seating is $1,125." AI Overview

*Anyone continually looking at their phone in those seats should be slapped to the court.

Nah, they are fielding screenshots of themselves on tv from friends.

Or

They are living their best lives and could care less what you or I think.

Curry was fine.
Podz, Post, Payton, and Hield were ice cold.

Curry was 6-16 from deep.
5 turnovers, 2 assists.

He gets trapped regularly and can't dribble out of it well enough so he does a hook pass to a helper who does nothing with it.

Curry is awesome when allowed space. The way to beat him is to hound him. It's been that way for years. Defensive teams have shown this long ago.

Hield was a total zero, and that's just sad.

I think the worst thing is Kerr.
He is still undecided on the lineup. He's totally wasted his best athlete, not only for these playoffs but his entire residency with the team. I mean, can anyone envision a way the warriors match the offers Kuminga gets from others in the offseason? W's could have gotten good trade value. Not anymore!

Warriors have no center and are getting beat up inside. Any surprise? Absolutely not.

Two timelines is a busted theory from years ago, the roster is going to be managed until curry retires, and then we'll be playing the tankathon game, hoping for a few draft breaks to fall our way.

The warriors are a "show". The Steph curry show. They can milk that for good revenue for a few more years.
It'll be all about reaching 5000 3's.

Down by only 2 points after Q3, the Dubs missed their first 14 shots in Q4.

Literally only had 5 points scored over an 8 minute period.

Jimmy took 4 shots from 3 (which he doesnt do) and Steph was 1 - 7 in Q4.

As this series has been extended, they are getting worn out by the double bigs as Adams is playing a ton of minutes (31 last night and 17 pts)) and grinding down Draymond.

Kerr has had no answer for the Double Bigs.

I really disagreed with Kerr's decision to start GP2. I get that Kerr wanted some defense on VanFleet, but GP2 hasnt been able to stop him. And Kerr has thus far refused to double team VanFleet.

Post isnt ready for prime time and looks relatively lost in this series aside from one night where he had 12 boards.

JK, who's averaged 21 points vs Houston this year should have been inserted by Kerr to put pressure on the rim, even if it was for 3 - 4 minutes. But Kerr refused to "trust" JK or switch things up by putting some more "slashing" athleticism on the floor.

The Dubs clearly lack a consistent third scorer and/or a slasher. Buddy Hield surely isnt that guy. Zero points in 16 minutes. And GP2 had 5 points in 19 minutes.

Its too bad Jimmy B got injured, otherwise I think the Dubs could have ended this series early before the younger Rockets gained confidence. The missing ingredient from this young and athletic Houston Rocket team was CONFIDENCE.

And now they have it in spades!

Hard to believe that the Dubs can win in Houston on such a short turnaround. Jimmy, Dray, and Steph have got to be awfully fatigued.

There are a lot of parallels to the Lakers series… old smaller team struggling with bigger, younger, more athletic squad. Maybe we are seeing an evolution of the game where there is a limit on the utility of small ball.

I think you're spot on.
Small ball is over.

OKC also uses the Double Big strategy as well.

Plus the ways these games are being officiated clearly favors the younger more physical teams as does the collective wear and tear.

The Warriors would be fine if they had an active big man presence in the middle.

The original championship Warriors could play big by putting guys like Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli on the floor. They don't really have any guys like that anymore.

In other news, I have lots of respect for Aaron Gordon. His motor broke and is stuck in high gear, and then you toss in a 39" vertical leap….and you have a whirling dervish of insane effort.

*I never scouted him in college as having this much upside.

When the warriors did it, they were the only ones. Now lots of teams have the ability to matchup that way. Big centers are not as valued.

The warriors answer? Go even smaller and older.

Houston has countered that and it's clear that the movement has gone too far!

If you're going to go small, you'd better be young and athletic.

We were really hoping on the hoops board, coming from San Jose, but he never showed interest.

Warriors were -5.5 at Chase on Friday; + 2.5 tomorrow. Rockets' fans will be willing to give that, no problem.

It would be interesting to see how Sengun's offensive productivity would be effected if the refs blew the whistle every time he travels.

Buddy Hield.

Pretty shocking. I was wrong, and happily so.

I thought refs called very few fouls for both sides but that very much helped warriors.

And buddy … certainly a top 3-pt shooter, but after 4 pts in game 5 and 0 in game 6, NOBODY, NO BUDDY, had Hield for 9-11 and 33.

Felt like Steph came in with a plan to take on the double teams and look to get open shots for everyone else and see who steps up. It was Buddy Hield this time.

Enjoy it guys. Regardless of the current narrative trust me when I tell you my Lakers ARE good. Minnesota clowned them. They are a really tough opponent - size, experience, athleticism, the ability to play big or small, etc.

Warriors went 3-1 against Minnesota during the season, without Jimmy Butler. I wouldn't write off any result.

Buddy Hield is 16th all time in 3 pt fgs which is something I'd never have expected.

Minnesota will be tough- long plus Randle and Ant arent going to disappear for games on end like Houston scorers ….but it's playoffs
