The contrast is striking between the US and China there, the Chinese go all out when an African leader visits China, even if it's from a smaller country. When the Liberian president went to China recently, they brought out the full red carpet treatment with honor guard, cheerleaders, red carpet, motorcades caravaning through blocked off major boulevards in Beijing, state banquets etc. Xi Jinping knows almost every African president by their first name. China has invested a lot into Africa.
