It makes a big difference if the number killed is 300 versus 12,000-20,000, if those protestors were armed, shooting at police/other protestors, firebombing public places, or if they were unarmed and peaceful a la Kent State.

I'm not sure a bombing run is even going to do anything at this point. It's probably too late to turn any tide of revolution now.
(Not that I think the "revolution" is fully over. IMO it is showing weakness in the Iranian regime that things even got this far, so protests could easily return again. But the immediate action appears done for now, so dropping bombs isn't going to change that.)
