This is really, really bad journalism, there is no revelation here, just speculation over a very trivial side story to the Epstein affair.

Not that I want to exonerate Trump here, he has been deceitful and is, at the very least, TACOing to the swamp. This is going to damage his base and destroy his legacy.

Trump was the Republican candidate after all but not many thought Trump was going to defeat Hillary except for a few polls that showed the election was going to be very close. Fox News poll wasn't one of them.

I agree. It's kind of the reverse of flooding the zone with their own MAGA BS.

When Occam's Razor points to Trump (and yes, likely many other rich and powerful people, including Democrats), being guilty AF of illegal and horrific behavior, throw in one or two pieces of bogus incriminating evidence against Trump. That way, when Trump's opponents pursue those tidbits which are later shown to be bogus, they can sell their MAGA base on the whole thing being bogus, even though everything else points to Trump's culpability and coverup.

Don't know if this is that, but it follows the pattern. Distracting from things like the June CPI report and Tariffs pushing prices up is a side benefit for them, of course.
