Scott Turner Reveals How Biden's 12 Million Illegal Invaders Destroyed Affordability for American Families

In a Fox Business interview, HUD Secretary Scott Turner attributed America's ongoing housing crisis to the surge in illegal immigration during the Biden administration.

He pointed to more than 12 million people entering the country unchecked and unvetted, which he said has severely strained resources for working Americans.

Turner: "When you have over 12 million [new] people coming over our borders unchecked, unvetted, this is straining our housing market from a supply standpoint, from an affordability standpoint."

A new HUD report backs up his assessment. Between 2021 and 2024, the foreign-born population in the U.S. grew by more than six million the largest such increase in a three-year period in American history. This surge accounted for more than 60% (or roughly two-thirds) of national rental demand growth during that time. "We cannot overlook the fact that, because of illegal immigration and people coming into our country, prices have risen and supply has been squeezed," Turner said.

His solution emphasizes stronger enforcement: "We need to continue deporting illegals who are taking houses from American people."
