I saw Grateful Dead once. By coincidence, Branford Marsalis played with them though my date and I didn't really know what was going on. Confusion.

Not a fan of Bob Weir. My Grateful Dead playlist is all Hunter/Garcia with the addition of Truckin (1972).

Saw one of the best concerts of my life just yesterday. My Chemical Romance kicked ass. Amazing crowd. Great humurous theatrics on stage.

When I was young and hangin' in Berkeley, Garcia's and Merl Saunders' names were on that Keystone marquee frequently and, like a moron, I never went in. I was more of a Led Zep fan at the time.

*Music reflection: I was listening to some Eagles today and I figured out why I have always preferred Glenn Frey's lead vocals over Don Henley's: Glenn sounded like Rickey Nelson and I always dug his voice.

In the documentary History of the Eagles, Glenn said that he deferred to Don Henley with regard to singing the lion's share of the leads because Don was such a superior vocalist. You undersold yourself, Glenn, you undersold yourself.
