It was an entirely premeditated, deliberate false flag attack by Israel, meant to blame the attack on Egypt in order to create animus among the US public and a US war on Egypt. There were 7 reconnaissance overflights before the attack begun, and radio intercepts with Israeli commanders ordering pilots to fire at the ship after the pilots told their commanders that it was a USN ship.
This is also the consensus among all the survivors that it was a premediated, deliberate and sustained attempt to kill them all (Israeli pilots even strafing life rafts) which was only stopped by a heroic effort by a wounded sailor who climbed up the main mast with a makeshift radio to send a distress signal after Israeli pilots knocked down the main radio antenna.

There appears to be evidence, based on your videos, that Israel continued the attack once they identified the ships as American and committed a war crime by crippling SOS communication. However, this matter was settled with the US Government 60 years ago.

Of course it was a deliberate false flag attack by Israel on an unarmed USN ship. The goal clearly was to sink the ship and leave no survivors, then blame Egypt for this, creating a casus belli for the US.
This is only one of many well-documented Israeli false flag attacks on US and western targets in the region, meant to generate animosity towards Israel's enemies and use US blood and treasure to fight them, and that's the reason the USS Liberty false flag attack is so relevant today, the war on Iran being another chapter in Endless War fought on behalf of Israel.
And "the matter" was never settled, the cover up is
